This is beyond and above any bakery on the island! And I have tried them all!! We have stopped here for years! Starting back when they only had one location at Shelter Cove! Never disappointed!This trip we brought back croissants to freeze and for our grands. HHI bakery wrapped up the croissants to freeze/cook when we got home, included instructions and gave us an ice pack for the travel. Grands loved theirs as did we. And we have 4 waiting in the freezer. In addition, we grabbed some fantastic desserts like salted caramel and the Chocolate Bon Bon.If I had one suggestion, it would be that they stagger their closed days so that one of the locations is open every day. It is so disappointing when we come for a short visit and can’t visit the bakery!!!Go visit!!! You WILL NOT be disappointed.

I'm actually obsessed with this place. I come here at least twice a week before work to grab a coffee and pastry and chill in their outdoor seating. It's an incredibly laid back and comfortable atmosphere that I love soaking up and the food here is to die for. Literally. I think I'd give my life for one of their prosciutto sandwiches and I daydream about the 'Kiss on the Beach' and giant raspberry macaroon daily. This is so easily the best bakery/Cafe on the island it's an absolute hidden gem. Not only is the food exceptional but I love the service as well- it's so fun and upbeat in there I don't even know how to begin to describe it. This is easily my favorite place on hilton head; if I'm ever missing I'm actually just at the social bakery sitting outside with a coffee and almond croissant

Everything you want from a bakery on the coast! A beautiful outdoor view of yachts on the water in the quaintest shopping center you can imagine! There's always a line but it moves quickly so you can eat your favorite pastries in no time! I especially love that it is owned by a French pastry chef and you can tell how authentic everything is. I plan to go back and recommend to everyone in Hilton Head!

I really like this bakery! Stopped in yesterday for some treats for dessert and got myself a croissant for the road. The croissant was so flaky, tasty, buttery, soft that I could've cried it was so good. My family enjoyed their desserts, they looked very tasty.The service was friendly. The interior is cozy. Having all those display cases while waiting in line is so tempting. It's a great stop for a baked treat!
