After our Kayak trip, we were recommended to catch a bite at up the creek. The food & service was very good. My kids said the best hush puppies in town. Great burgers too.

Haven't been here for couple of years, so I decided to try again after some friends recommended it. Bartender makes great margaritas, and they have a good beer on tap selection. I had the Trigger fish tacos and they were pretty good. A little too soggy to be able to eat out of hand, but my fork did the trick. Sprouse had the cheese burger with fries and liked it.

The best hole-in-the-wall seafood restaurant in the Hilton Head SC area. They have the best atmosphere from hearing fisherman, captains, tourist, and locals talking/laughing it up on this water front restaurant. The pricing is amazingly reasonable and the service was super great. You will not have to wait long for your food and have a variety of adult beverages to choose from the bar. It’s a family friendly restaurant. I enjoyed the fresh crab cakes and coleslaw the night I visited this great establishment. So, pull up a chair at the bar, table inside, or on the deck with a view to enjoy the best priced seafood in the Hilton Head area!

The local fisherman who told hubby about the blackened Trigger fish, you made his trip! Said it was the best fish he has ever had. Emely was our server and she was outstanding! Conch fritters and hush puppies were great. It was an 20-30 minute wait for a table inside. I convinced hubby who hates to eat outside to just take a table outside. He was very happy that I talked him into it. Thank you to the entire staff at UP a Creek. You are all amazing.

We thoroughly enjoyed the flavors of our meal: crab cakes (good), burger (very good), fish-n-chips (very good), clam chowder (very good). Two of us got sick after (we suspect the hush puppies) but we would probably come back. The atmosphere is kind of laid back, but respectful. The staff works hard ~ could be a little more attentive to improve the experience.

Came here for dinner after the dolphin cruise. It was my first time here as a local & the bartender was very rude. She acted like it was such a bother to have separate tabs. Literally rolled her eyes & threw my card down on the table after she ran it. Normally would tip good as I used to be in food & Bev myself but not with her horrible attitude. I did tip still but she missed out on potential money because of her attitude. Once we got sat the server was a lot nicer though & the food was good.

This was our 3rd visit to Up the Creek in the last 30 days. Judging by that I would say that our first 2 visits were great and we were looking forward to a nice lunch. Unfortunately it was a disappointing experience and I’m thinking it may be our last time visiting this restaurant. The food was good, the beer was cold but unfortunately the service was terrible. Perhaps someone should tell the waitresses that a little friendliness goes a long way towards a good customer experience and a better tip.

This place is a little dive on the water that is a treat every time we come to Hilton Head. The staff is friendly and the food is always awesome. It’s a place always on our list when we get into town a d it never disappoints!

Read good reviews about this place and my wife and I would agree. We had a late lunch / early dinner and we’re the only customers in the restaurant / bar. Large order of chips and salsa to start followed by crab cakes and the hot dog special. My wife stated that the crab cakes may have been the. Eat she ever had. The hot dog was good in a toasted bun with cheese and onions. My only slight complaint would be it felt more like we were an afterthought with many friends coming and out, although our service was good. The view from the patio was fantastic.
Went for lunch. We had the fried shrimp platter and the cheeseburger. Both were good. The deck is pet friendly. Service was just OK. May return but not sure. Lots of choices to eat in Hilton Head.

Great local bar with good food. Our waitress MacKenzie made our whole evening. Not fancy but felt like a place locals go to. Fun sitting outside.

Very good seafood selection, great tasting Mahi both grilled and blackened.large portions. Server was terrific, especially giving they were short of staff. Overall excellent experience. Would have given 4.5 stars but that score was unavailable on TripAdvisor. Will return again.

After coming to HHI for years we found this hidden gem. It’s a little off the beaten path so it wasn’t overly crowded like a lot of restaurants are in July. JJ was an excellent server. We had a lot of fun joking with him & he had some great recommendations. The hush puppies are AMAZING. Triggerfish was delicious. Really great views. The place is smaller than I expected so get there early if you have a big group. We had 9 people and went around 5pm so we got a table right away. We’ll definitely come back here!
