The food is nothing but adequate, and on top of that, it is overpriced. We went for breakfast and split an omlet, the veggies were not cooked all the way, the cheese wasn't melted, and the hashbrowns were covered in grease, for a $20 plate for one person. The atmosphere is nice, and the customer service is great.

“Free breakfast” is a LIE! Hotel advertising do better. Breakfast food was AWFUL. Eggs were rubber, potatoes no seasoning, French toast cardboard, maple syrup not maple, table we sat at was not stable, orange juice not freshly squeezed, biscuit dry like poppeys. For 3 people it was 80 dollars for what?! I would rather eat food at a hospital.

This was by far one of the worst vacations that I have ever taken. I booked the ocean view room on the higher level. My family and I got a room on the 10th floor and upon getting off of the elevator, you could feel that the hallway was extremely hot. We entered the room, to where there didn't seem to be much a temperature drop from the hallway. I looked at the thermostat and it was at 79 degrees. I lowered it to 65 in anticipation that the air conditioning would come on. We left and grabbed dinner and mingle around the resort. We went back to the room and it is still miserably hot. I went down to the front desk to discuss this with them. As I am waiting at the counter, there is another patron that is visibly very upset about his stay due to the air conditioning not working. He too, was on the 10th floor. He had said he had been there for 4 days and nothing was fixed. When I got to the agent, I told her about our air conditioning issue and she said that she would contact the engineering team to look at it. My family and I left again and come back and it is still extremely hot up there. The temperature inside the room was reading 79 degrees still. I went back down to the counter, and again, another person was complaining about their air conditioning not working on the 10th floor. And again, I mentioned our issue with them as well. Needless to say, we were at the resort for 4 days and there wasn't any air conditioning at all. The temps outside were averaging 99 degrees with a real feel of 120 degrees, and there wasn't any wind movement to even think about keeping the sliding door open. Every waking moment in that room was miserable because it was so hot. My wife, children, nor myself could sleep due to the extreme heat. I don't understand how a resort like this could let that happen. Especially since the customer that complained about being there for 4 nights before the first time I mentioned it to the front counter. I will never, ever stay at this place ever again.

From the minute we checked in, I knew our stay was not going to be a good one. We arrived to our room to find a maintenance cart outside our room. When we opened the door, we found a maintenance man spraying a very fragrant spray. He was just "freshening up." After he left, we noticed this "spray" was incredibly powerful and we could actually taste whatever this was. We called the front desk and switched to a different room. The new room smelled like must and mildew. The air conditioner did not work properly and the door had to be pushed very forcefully to open and close. There was nothing provided in the closets, no extra linens or blankets. The elevators took forever. My family members staying in other rooms had leaking air conditioners, no hot water and more musty smells. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to hilton head.

We stayed for a long weekend during a conference. We had stayed here previously on a different side of the resort. I highly recommend the South Tower. We stayed on the fifth floor room 564. The AC worked like a dream set on 69. The room was very clean and everything was comfortable. There is no magnifying mirror in the bathroom for those like me that need one. There also is no bathroom exhaust fan. The water pressure was great and well as the temperature. The pool area was crowded but lots of servers everywhere. The cabanas on the grass facing the beach are $150 for the day. Beers were $9 for 16oz and $13 for mixed drink.

Hotel is over priced and overrated. The engineer/maintenance workers did not stop working on our floor and 2 out of the 3 elevators were constantly out of order. AC did not work very well and water pressure was very low. It kind of smelled musty as well. Staff were amazing. I wont ever stay there again…even with the view it is not worth the price.

Although the web site says that the rooms have been updated, they must have skipped 937… broken toilet seat and toilet tissue holder, mildew smell, mildew on curtain. The room was serviced twice without me asking, the other 5 days I had to request housekeeping - one day that meant having a bag of towels left on the floor. After writing to the general manager, I was told that they hope we visit again…. There are plenty of other places thank you. For the rates paid for an ocean front room, I expected much more from Marriott.

Highly recommend a room with a balcony for amazing views! The room itself appeared to be very clean but I don't think the carpet was, which would not be unusual. The front desk employee who checked us in was very professional and pleasant, even allowing me to check in super early. We ate dinner at the hotel's restaurant, Blue, and our waitress, JANA, provided us with above and beyond customer service! Would definitely stay here again!

This is our 4th time to the hotel, and we always have an awesome time! The rooms are nice, service is tremendous, and it is great value for Hilton Head. Today, we had a cabana and had exemplary support and service from Darko. We will definitely come back.

Our family enjoyed our stay at the Marriott. The room was spacious and extremely comfortable. We were seated on the pool deck and were warmly greeted by Darko, who asked if we wanted any food or beverages. We ordered both food and beverages. There was music daily which was a pleasant addition to the afternoon. The next day, there were slushies so that the children were delighted. We had lunch at the outdoor restaurant and we’re so happy that Darko , our attentive server was working there. We ordered our lunch and we were served quickly and continuously checked on during our meal. During our stay we had drinks at the pool bar and were served by Michael, who was professional and extremely personable. He was attentive to our group as well as all of the other guests.

We had such a great time here and want to especially shout out Jasmine J at the front desk, who went out of her way to help our family with several requests. Her customer service was extraordinary. The hotel was nice and laid back and the restaurant was actually and surprisingly really good! Such a fun place to stay and riding bikes on the beach was so fun (you can rent from hotel). The access to the beach is great and the pool setup is equally fantastic. It’s a great stay!!!!!

Rurdra and Kushal at the bar lounge made our experience 5 stars! They were so welcoming, friendly, and engaging. Rudra mixes excellent drinks. Ask for his campfire margarita! The beds here are the most comfortable I’ve ever had in a hotel room and the heated pool was so lovely and open pretty late, too!

Check your billing statement carefully. Stayed 5 nights, charged for 6 days Resort Fee. Called hotel about over charge and was told accounting would correct in 3 to 5 days. Two weeks later, emailed complaint to corporate. Was told accounting would contact me in 3 to 5 days. Two weeks later I filed over charge dispute with bank (credit card).
