This is a nice restaurant along the lower end of William Hilton Road. Nice quiet atmosphere, making it easy to have conversations at your table. We had good efficient service.

By far the best food on Hilton Head! The ambiance was great, and the restaurant was really clean and well-designed. The service was outstanding and the menu was fantastic! They were super-accommodating getting us in and out for the show next door.

We visited Lucky Rooster on a whim and saw that there were some cars in the parking lot. Talked with a couple walking out and they said it was there first time and it was the best food they had eaten on the island! So we had to try it! Saw online that they had raw oysters, which is our favorite and also grilled octopus and we were in!! But unfortunately they just had a menu change and no longer were serving raw oysters and they were out of octopus….. So we were off to a ruff start. But they had a 1lb steam pot of crawfish and mussels which we ordered and they were very good! Dinner my wife got a salad which no extra meat, which was on the smaller side. And I got the Bisque that was on special that had crawfish and shrimp in it, and it was very good, didn’t have the heavier cream I like, little watery but flavorful. Service was ok, waitress missed that when my wife’s mussels were brought out that they weren’t the dairy free version, and the first bite my wife was like there is cream in these, and her with a dairy allergy freaked a little.. So we had to catch another waitress because ours kept being MIA and the other waitress took one look and was like yes those have dairy in them, and quickly took them away. So they made my wife a fresh batch of dairy free ones rightly this time. We both shared them since it took longer and the crawfish were gone.. lol. But atmosphere inside was a little too dark with dark shades over the windows, kinda liked like a hideout when you tried to see in and couldn’t. But overall, I would recommend it and food was flavorful and presented nicely. Waitstaff could use some attention, but overall good food!Dietary restrictions: Just be sure to check your food prior to taking a bite, due to low lighting and waitstaff unsure of what they are serving.

The food / flavors were a miss for us, but helped by great service and a good atmosphere. Octopus was way too heavily seasoned, mussels were in a heavy cream broth… both took away from the flavor of the main attraction.

Great meal. Cornbread appetizer left something to be desired but the rest of the meal hit it out of the park. I had the bisque and want to go get more now. Ha. Loved it.

4.5⭐️ Great service and good food. Super knowledgeable and kind waiter, Oz. He even called to let us know we left our credit card. Had beet salad to start with and braised short rib. Husband had fried chicken. Options are a bit heavy overall but it is southern style cooking!

My favorite restaurant on the island. The service is good. The quality of food sourced from local purveyor’s can be tasted on your first bite. I’m not sure if he still does the pig head but my god it was delicious! The cocktails can’t be beat!

We always forget how good this is! We will come more often. This particular evening was a wine dinner, pairing the chef's special dishes with wines from the Scott family wineries in Napa. Everything was excellent and the presenter did an excellent job describing the wines. Kudos to the kitchen staff and management for putting on this great even.

This restaurant was not for us but it was a nice place to go once. The name does not fit the ambience? It is dark inside but not romantic dark Tables were set nice with cloth napkins but I don't think clean silver ware should ever touch the table because they are definitely not sanitized between customers. The drinks were tasty but the price for the cocktails wasridiculous They offer no bread service or even bread with your meal which is expected for the prices and vibe of the restaurant. The mashed potatoes were dry and not creamy delicious as when made with fresh cream/butter. Succotash was very good. My fish was grilled perfectly and delicious. My partners meal was erygoid and prepared perfectly They obviously have a wonderful chef! I'm glad we went one time

We found our new HHI favorite! My husband was initially skeptical due to the location in a strip mall area. Upon opening the menu and seeing tin tartare, I felt like it would be good. The inside was very nice and had a lovely ambiance. All of our food was cooked to perfection! The braised short ribs melted in your mouth and we had some of the most tender calamari. Our server was attentive and gave very good suggestions when we asked questions. We can't wait to go back to sample more of the menu. Highly recommend!!!
