The food is fantastic! It’s always hot and fresh. The people complaining that they aren’t “friendly” have nothing better to do than write negative reviews because they’re bored or lonely. I would take delicious food over fake banter with a cashier all day!

I have not found a Chinese restaurant that is worth anything in the Columbia area. I saw a review that said the food is great so I reluctantly ordered some food. We finally found a place that is more than acceptable and we have been back twice in a row. We saw people complain about the rudeness and I completely disagree. Culturally the way they talk is on par with the way I understand them to be. And we're not looking to eat with them. They make really good food and we are so happy to find them. Everything we have had is reliable and tasty. We have spicy mixed vegetables and noodles and it's been 3 years since we found a good Chinese restaurant. So happy!

The food is good! The wings and lo mein remind me of NYC. I have never had a bad interaction with the owner. Maybe because I am from NY, but I do not expect anything from her but a greeting, take my order, and let me know how much my bill is. This is one of my go-to Chinese restaurants.

This is the most unprofessional rude reatraunt i have ever seen in my life ! They arent clean and they literally talk to you any kind of way when you call in ! I do not recommend these people to anyone!

For those of you that think the owner lady is racist toward blacks, that is a very silly assumption. She is a very miserable person, and takes it out on everybody. She is never at fault; she does not greet; she does not smile; she does not offer; she does not love people; and she does not appreciate anyone. When they first opened years ago, we showed them how to give a discount on Sundays, to build their business. Over time, when our family came in, with our special needs child, she told us that we could not eat inside anymore, because our child got rice on her floor. Well, even though we especially LIKED THE FOOD, that was the end of it for us. Didn't come back. Accepting a little rice now and then, is part of running a business. I was hungry, and decided to stop in this past summer for to-go. Boy, was I wrong. She was back in the kitchen screaming endlessly at her husband (the cook). I commented to the other customer that I really felt sorry for him. We saw her do that years previously as well. It put my stomach in knots and gave me indigestion just watching her. It is actually very very sad watching someone be so self-destructive. She loses customers, she slashes her own happiness, and will probably lose her husband eventually. The food is good.

Amazing experience each and every time, the best egg rolls ever! And I absolutely love their fried wings, you won’t be disappointed!
They have great dumplings!But the cashier makes my laid back disposition want to flip. Just plan Rude! No manners at all! No thank you or anything. Obviously this will not change with all these negative reviews!

the food is decent, but the attitude and rudeness from the cashier is rediculous. horrible service, overpriced, and NOT worth the trip.

The food is consistent and quick. By the time I place an order and drive to Chen’s, my food is ready or just about ready. The owners are alway busy cooking and taking orders by phone and in person. The customers seem to be happy with the food. I have not been disappointed with the food yet either. I recommend Chen’s Garden if you want some quick Chinese food.

Zero stars! Never great from day one. Our limited time landed us here for dinner tonite. Their small wings prompted our attempt to add extra. NO! Meal only got 6 wings, no extras! Well, they and rice was awful. So, WE NO GO BACK!
