Server was not friendly and rushed us through our meal. The flounder was mushy and rather bland. The grouper bites were not crisp at all. We shared a piece of key lime pie which was good although the whipped cream tasted like Cool Whip. They also charge a 3% “technology fee” which the server said was the credit card fee. We are going back to using cash???! It likely to return.

We had a wonderful experience at dinner last night! We were looking at the tables surrounding us for ideas and everyone's dinner looked scrumptious. We both had grouper with creamy grits and I'm picky about my grits. They were perfect!! Our server was experienced and very attentive. It was our first visit to the restaurant and we will definitely return several times before we leave the island.

Amazing food and service every time we go. Would highly recommend. We were a group of 4 and each of us were extremely happy with our food. We have been here for a week and this meal was our best meal so far! Be sure to order the She Crab Soup!

One of the best restaurants we have visited. Everything on the menu looked great, and everyone at tables around us was praising their dinners as much as we were ours. Very attentive staff, who seemed to really like what they were doing and appreciate the customers.

We always make a reservation for dinner at Long Island Cafe when we are in town. Excellent food and attentive service. Last night we were seated in the center of the restaurant rather than at a tight side table- so much appreciated! We plan to return next time we're in Charleston!

Our server was quick and friendly. Food is always good here. Broiled scallops and flounder combo excellent. Husband got friend flounder that was huge and delish. Only problem, it is very crowded and loud. I always request to NOT be seated along the wall that has tables only 1 1/2 feet apart. They usually see that request and let us wait until there is a table elsewhere. Always happy to wait. The hostesses didn't even try. However it was crowded as usual. We were seated right in the middle. The lady beside me had her purse touching me. On the other side, was her coat. You hear everything from next tables and especially if loud talkers. We barely talked, but just ate our delicious food.

There is nothing better than Ling Island cafe!! The menu is excellent and every item is perfect! The service is always attentive and friendly. From the fried shrimp, variously prepared fish, pasta - it's all the best! We've been coming for 30 years. It's only gotten better!!

As usual, we had an excellent dinner at Long Island Cafe. Our waitress, Leslie, as wonderful. She was pleasant, professional, and very attentive. The food was prepared wonderfully, and this restaurant will remain one of our favorites.

The Long Island Cafe is a longtime favorite of ours and we brought friends of ours who are our guests from Alexandria Virginia. The food was great and we had a table next to the front window so we had no problem hearing each other. All in all, it was a very enjoyable evening and we will certainly be back

Lunch menu was much different than menu on internet not many choices. The server was not friendly at all. My wife and I drove 2 hrs from Myrtle beach hearing how great this place was for seafood and it was just like any other place in Myrtle just ok.

I had the broiled shrimp and oyster combo (due to food allergies). The proteins were overcooked and dry. Could not have red sauce or tartar sauce. Cheese grits were good! Service was outstanding! My companions enjoyed the Chicken Cordon Bleu and the Shrimp and grits.

We love Long Island Cafe! The food is always well prepared. The seafood is local and fresh and there are always enticing specials on the board. If you have not tried one of the deserts then you are missing out on a treat. I had heard rumors that the menu had changed and things were sliding downhill. NOT True. Try it for yourself and you won't regret it. There is a lot to be said for a restaurant that serves fresh cut french fries and not the frozen disappointment that you get most other places. You can't beat fresh seafood and fresh cut french fries.

Lunch at Long Island Cafe was wonderful. The hostess was sweet and efficient, our server, Olivia was delightful and the food was great. I especially loved the vegetable of the day-spinach, peas, and mushrooms. I'll be back!

Always enjoy Long Island Cafe, but have to say my tuna entree was not up to your standards, my husband had the same entree, my tuna was grainy but his was perfect. It happens, should have stuck with my favorite, the salmon. Our server was Alicia, excellent service as usual.
