The food was amazing! We had fried green tomatoes as an appetizer, the burger and seafood pasta, with chocolate cake for dessert. Jeff was very sweet and knowledgeable about the menu and restaurant history. We will definitely be back!

Sat at the inside bar, the gentleman behind the bar was great, he made drinks quickly. The problem was the dinner, the filet was terribly undercooked and under seasoned. Also out of mashed potatoes at around 4-5pm. I hear the seafood is good so I might have to come back and try that, very displeased.

We had a wonderful dinner at Islander 71. We got an awesome table with a view, and all phases of the meal were wonderful. From drinks, to appetizers, to dinner and dessert — it was all fresh and delicious.
We had high hopes for dinner with family this evening after having a cozy happy hour there earlier this week. But it was disappointing…mostly due to the service. First, it was very chilly…and despite having lovely heaters all over the place…we were told they were ALL “out of propane”. Then the waiter…not good. Took Forever to get our drinks. And then even longer to get our food. We had to ask two other wait staff to please inquire where our food was…after we saw 3 other tables (with a different waiter) had been served.We love the setting of this quaint restaurant and bar…right on iop marina. We’ve been going there for 20+ years…previously Morgan’s Creek…But they have to be more accommodating with service if they want to attract quality clients.
