Long Island Cafe has been a part of my families dinner traditions for birthdays, holidays, and other get-togethers we have had over the years. They have honored my grandfather when he passed, and are always exceptionally polite and friendly to my grandmother and family. The food is absolutely delicious, and I love its proximity to the beach. If you’re looking for an amazing meal. I highly recommend eating here. They source a lot of food items locally. Thank you for helping to continue and keeping memories alive.~Shinners and Miller family~

We had a wonderful experience at dinner last night! We were looking at the tables surrounding us for ideas and everyone's dinner looked scrumptious. We both had grouper with creamy grits and I'm picky about my grits. They were perfect!! Our server was experienced and very attentive. It was our first visit to the restaurant and we will definitely return several times before we leave the island.

Amazing food and service every time we go. Would highly recommend. We were a group of 4 and each of us were extremely happy with our food. We have been here for a week and this meal was our best meal so far! Be sure to order the She Crab Soup!

Huge side Caesar salad, delicious clam chowder, and excellently prepared broiled sea scallops. Cost for the quality and amount of food was excellent.

We had an early reservation for a Girls Night Birthday Celebration and we could not have picked a better spot. Long Island Cafe is one of the originals on the Isle of Palms and it continues to be a stand-out among a crowded list of great local restaurants. The calamari, crabcakes and bread pudding were so wonderful. But the highlights of our experience were Tamara, the manager, and Laurie, our server. Tamara made sure that our visit was special with her kindness, generosity and professionalism. She is a leader and an obviously seasoned veteran. And Laurie could not have been more knowledgeable and comfortable with the wine and food choices. Her easy going nature and bright smile made us feel so welcome and at ease that we didn't want to leave. Long Island Cafe and these two expert team members, who made our night, help make this place the perfect balance between up-scale and down home...a real winning combination for us locals looking for consistently great food and a warm environment. We look forward to a return visit very soon!

One of the best restaurants we have visited. Everything on the menu looked great, and everyone at tables around us was praising their dinners as much as we were ours. Very attentive staff, who seemed to really like what they were doing and appreciate the customers.

We always make a reservation for dinner at Long Island Cafe when we are in town. Excellent food and attentive service. Last night we were seated in the center of the restaurant rather than at a tight side table- so much appreciated! We plan to return next time we're in Charleston!

Our server was quick and friendly. Food is always good here. Broiled scallops and flounder combo excellent. Husband got friend flounder that was huge and delish. Only problem, it is very crowded and loud. I always request to NOT be seated along the wall that has tables only 1 1/2 feet apart. They usually see that request and let us wait until there is a table elsewhere. Always happy to wait. The hostesses didn't even try. However it was crowded as usual. We were seated right in the middle. The lady beside me had her purse touching me. On the other side, was her coat. You hear everything from next tables and especially if loud talkers. We barely talked, but just ate our delicious food.

There is nothing better than Ling Island cafe!! The menu is excellent and every item is perfect! The service is always attentive and friendly. From the fried shrimp, variously prepared fish, pasta - it's all the best! We've been coming for 30 years. It's only gotten better!!

As usual, we had an excellent dinner at Long Island Cafe. Our waitress, Leslie, as wonderful. She was pleasant, professional, and very attentive. The food was prepared wonderfully, and this restaurant will remain one of our favorites.

The Long Island Cafe is a longtime favorite of ours and we brought friends of ours who are our guests from Alexandria Virginia. The food was great and we had a table next to the front window so we had no problem hearing each other. All in all, it was a very enjoyable evening and we will certainly be back

Lunch menu was much different than menu on internet not many choices. The server was not friendly at all. My wife and I drove 2 hrs from Myrtle beach hearing how great this place was for seafood and it was just like any other place in Myrtle just ok.

I had the broiled shrimp and oyster combo (due to food allergies). The proteins were overcooked and dry. Could not have red sauce or tartar sauce. Cheese grits were good! Service was outstanding! My companions enjoyed the Chicken Cordon Bleu and the Shrimp and grits.

Fantastic experience. While on vacation, this was our family dinner choice and WOW were we glad. Seafood pasta was amazing. Filet mignon was cooked to perfection. Ask for April as your waitress. She knows her stuff! Food came out quickly and drinks stayed full. We will be back often!
