Tried the new short rib curry Thai dish and it was incredible. The best Thai I’ve ever had. Then my wife couldn’t finish her smash burger so I finished it. Seriously the best tasting burger ever! Sooooooo good! The owners are super friendly and passionate about their new business. The renovations to the two buildings are done well and I look forward to many more outstanding meals at Periwinkle!

Haven't had the pleasure of dining in yet, but we did a takeaway dinner for 6 last night and it was a great experience all around! Called in the morning to make sure they would have what we wanted, ended up chatting with the chef and felt sure that we would have enough. (We got 3 "family style" orders and there was plenty of leftovers for me today.) Picked up the Greek chicken meatballs with orzo salad at about 3:30, the meal was beautifully packed, plenty of pita and delicious sauces were included. Staff were so kind and friendly. Got to spend the afternoon/evening on the beach and still had a great family meal, all I had to do was warm the meatballs and pita! Everyone enjoyed it, all ages were happy and full. All for the price of 2 people at a local restaurant! We will do this again next summer for sure, and hope to stop by for a breakfast sandwich before we leave!

The ambiance is fantastic! The food seems the same as the Hemingway, yet is just as great as always. They are open much later than before. Also really enjoyed the rebranding and identifying as a veteran owned company.Vegetarian options: PlentyParking: Lots of free parking

If you haven't stopped at The Hemingway either on the way in to Kiawah or on the way out of Kiawah- You Should!!! ?LOVE, LOVE, LOVE their Rosemary/Lavender Almond Milk Latte & just grabbing a quick bite of their warmed ham & cheese croissant ?? Yummy! They need to sell their homemade Rosemary & Lavender simple syrups. They also have a great selection of wines by the bottle ? Cheers!

Best restaurant in South Carolina by far. Funny story, I was on a family vacation to Kiawah island this summer and like the 1st day we were there we went to the beach. I got kinda hungry and my cousin got hungry too so my cousin and I decided to go to this place. We didn’t know that there weren’t many bike paths beyond a certain part of the island. We still went and we made it there and it was quite the adventure. Once we got there we were greeted by the nicest most refreshing air conditioning ever. We sat down and ordered our chicken and it was amazing. Their lemonade was very fresh and delicious. My cousin and I ended up spending a total of 2 hours there that day. As we were leaving my cousin says “This place feels like home” and he’s right it does feel like home. We biked back and got to see the marshes and it was a nice view. We picked up food for the rest of our family and we didn’t get back until like 5pm. They still enjoyed it because it was just that good. We biked a total of 7 miles over the course of 2 hours that day because there weren’t many bike paths past a part of the island. My cousin and I went through this whole adventure again a few days later because this place is so great. But the reason I tell you this is that this place was worth all the adventure to get to. If there were 6 stars I would have rated it 6.

Five stars in their heyday but food quality and customer service @Kin indicates they’re ready to roll. I’m ok with that as rumors swirling that the amazing fresh fish geniuses at Crystal Coast Seafood (previously at Estuary) might be taking over this venue soon (see CCS amazing fish sando photo!). Fingers crossed! Owners of KinFolk think it is ok to publicly try and shame a reviewer into taking down my post.

Delicious food and coffee, and mimosas! We had the avocado toast and chicken biscuit. Both were delicious! The coffee and mimosas were next level as well.It looks like there is a great selection of beer and wine as well. We were there for brunch and were already stocked up for our trip otherwise we might have grabbed some for later.Great indoor or outdoor seating options. We chose outside and it was perfect on a fall day.The staff was very friendly even to us visitors.

Gluten free options that are delicious!!!! Got the GF muffin you can't even tell it's GF, super moist and delicious. The pain au chocolat is yummy too. All the drinks were fabulous. Cappuccino and lattes are on point. They make their own syrups. We are definitely coming back!

Dogs allowed on the outside patio! My husband and I split a 3 tender meal (mild with fries and cucumber salad), and a crispy chicken sandwich (comes with a bag of chips). We each had a glass bottled soda and a cider and our total came to around 40$.They had a limited beverage selection but a great variation so something for everyone. Service was super friendly and very fast! We probably had our food walked out to us within 5 mins. Everything was fresh and delicious. I also liked all the food was already packaged in boxes so we did not have to ask for take out ones.We tried all of their sauces our favorite was the mustard based bbq and Alabama sauce. Next time I think we would try the medium level spice. We do like spicy food (frequently have Indian, Pakistani, Thai) but I would recommend everyone start off at the mild and work their way up as the quality of the food should not be overlooked by someone trying to satisfy their ego. The chicken was cooked perfectly and had the best breading and sauce flavors. We will return for sure! My husband is already planning to order from them for future game parties!

We had the Kinfolk Nashville hot chicken, crispy spare ribs, Mac and cheese, cucumber salad, baked beans. The barbecue sauce is excellent, too. Cooked to order, so it takes awhile. Because you can't fry chicken quickly The cucumber salad, is nice and cold and helps with the heat of the spicy chicken. Mac and cheese, is tasty. Baked beans has a good flavor. Funky, road side appeal rounds out the whole experience. We did not have room for the soft serve ice cream, but it looks delicious with a myriad of flavors and toppings. There's not much more I can say. Just trying to meet the yelp minimum requirements in order to post a review, I guess.
