Family friendly place. Staff was wonderful and very attentive. The food was “heavy”.

Y'all should be ashamed. I ordered the crab Burger to go. Just look at this... No Love! No lettuce, and definitely none of this remoulade sauce that they described. This dry piece of beef cannot carry itself alone. The crab cake was actually pretty good by itself. But never again. What a disappointment.

Our favorite lunch spot in the West Ashley area. I had the shrimp n grits and my family had fried shrimp and shrimp stir fry. It was delish!

OMG!!!! The food is so so so bland! I told my husband this must be a spot for the elderly and the waitress confirmed what I tasted. If you’re looking for taste this is not the place!!!

I love to visit here when I come to Charleston. The hush puppies are the best, I just love them. I always get the fried fish and shrimp. The loaded grits that come with the shrimp and sausage is amazing too.

It felt off this trip. The hush puppies were no bigger than a dime. The oysters and shrimp were rubbery, definitely not fresh. I love Gilligan's, but I can't keep spending this kind of money for mediocre food.

I never tend to write reviews like this , but thought it was very important that people knew to avoid this restaurant if they are looking for fresh Charleston Seafood.Although the Service was wonderful the food here was bland to say the least. The She Crab Soup actually tasted like it was out of a can. Then my crab cake sandwich maybe had a teaspoon of crab in it, so disappointing. There are so many reasonable seafood restaurants out there. Gilligan's needs to step up their game. Go to the Crab Shack right up the road the food is wonderful and the prices are very reasonable. As far as their food goes again...not good. But in their defense they may have other options that taste better. The service was wonderful , but there was nobody in there , which should have been a small warning to us both.
