Came here and had the Wadmalaw BBQ. The food was awesome! The service was awesome. I absolutely loved the atmosphere. They also are dog friendly and allow people with dogs to sit at picnic table outside. Will definitely be back!

Genuinely some of the best southern food I've had. They base specials on what's in season, and the staff were friendly and you can tell they really care about the place.

What a fantastic restaurant that's been on Johns Island for a while. I have great memories of lunches and breakfasts here. The atmosphere is cozy and quaint and the staff members make everyone feel welcome. I love the farm fresh ingredients! I had the special of the day chicken sandwich and it was generous and perfectly prepared! My side was tomato pie - something they are known for. After lunch I got eggs from a local farm and coffee beans from a local roaster. This place is a true gem!

thank you so much for your hospitality and great food...I have lived in the lowcountry for 10 years...I made it a point to support local as much as I can...well I will be returning! Your food was heavenly and hit the spot. It was worth the drive from Mt. P!

Local food and absolutely delicious! You can also shop! Local artisans have a variety of items there!

It's a small quant place they have a small store with a produce section in the back. The food was pretty good although my friends meal was a little well done but she said it wasn't bad.

The service and the experience were great with the exception of my meal. The waitress stated they are known for their crab cakes so that is what I ordered. To be honest, it tasted more like stuffing than anything else and certainly not one of the best crab cakes I’ve ever had.The wife had the BBQ plate and it was good. We’ll come back, but we’ll probably not order the crab cakes again.

One of my favorite places to eat! Local food and so fresh. Every dish I've tried has been amazing. My favorite is the prime rib and the house fries. The market inside is great part as well to get some local produce, premade foods, jams/jellies, and my favorite olive oil. Highly recommend!

A true Charleston tradition. All of it is great, but especially the tomato pie. This place was where I first had tomato pie. Thanks for everything!

This was my first time having dinner at this Restaurant & It was horrendously bad to put it lightly. I orderedThe Crab cake platter. I got 2 poorly made crab cakes That were burnt, Dry as a Bone coleslaw, Lukewarm Macaroni and cheese & an Iced tea. Price? $48.00!! Piss poor Attitudes & a Holier than thou atmosphere. A few words to sum up this experience. Don't eat here! Save your money, this place sucks!!!

Got the crab cake lunch plate with grits and a salad and it was one of the best meals I’ve had in Charleston. Friendly people, reasonable prices, and fresh food!

This was our first food experience on John's Island. We had just moved in and we were tired and hungry! The parking lot was full but we found a spot and entered their cozy establishment fit with a gift shop and produce with market shop in the back. We were seated by such a friendly server, we felt like guests in her home. Their sweet tea is fantastic and the menu is so enticing that choosing is challenging. Their sides looked so incredible, you can actually order 4 of them as a meal! We tried their tomato pie as we heard this is a low country staple. My word!!! It was decadent! The sweet potato casserole is jaw dropping scrumptious. Their beet salad is so fresh and perfectly seasoned. My husband loved the locally fresh caught shrimp that was cooked to perfection. We were so impressed with the serving sizes and so cost effective, that we purchased the frozen portion of tomato pie and sweet potato casserole. Those two cooked at home along with a protein provided us delicious meals for several days. This is now top of our return list! Their open times do vary from season to season so be sure to check out their listing for times. If peak, expect a wait but honestly, quite worth it because the front porch is delightful to lounge upon or wandering through the locally supplied gifts, fresh produce and canned products, you won't leave empty handed! Great gift ideas here too. You will want to keep plenty of items for yourself too! A must stop!!
