Totally burn wings, cooked in burnt cooking oil. Too nasty to eat. I did not have time to return to the restaurant to complain. 1/26/24 7:15 pm. Richard Cates, RN. Don't recommend this place.

My husband and I went here for our anniversary dinner. The steak with blue cheese bacon butter was amazing and sweet potato. We took our kids back there twice in 2 weeks after all three meals we have had were delicious.

Went about 2:30 so not busy time, food was cold sour cream and butter wouldn't even melt on the baked potato, they were hard and cold. Pork chops cold and the Filet mignon was worst ever took one bite it tasted like a dirty skillet. Will not go there again.

There was 3 of us and as we waited for our to be seated we noticed 3-4 tables open but no one was called to be seated. It appears the receptionist has problems talking on the phone and seating people. Then she started seating people out of order. The decor is nice and the menu looks good. The wait from the time we ordered our food to receiving it was ridiculous! We waited over 40 minutes. I thought my order would be easy not to difficult for a steak and barbecue place a brisket sandwich with beans. The bun was burned so bad the black char ran from the side to the top and the beans were cold and greasy. Needless to say we won’t eat there again and now I know why they are rated as they are!!!

Fried green tomatoes were delicious! The house dressing is refreshingly delightful. My inlaws enjoyed the ribs and ribeye. My husband and I liked the shrimp and grits. I however did not care for the burnt ends and didn't eat them.

The only thing I have to say is at least the food is awesome…. I'm going to have to say the service is extremely slow; being seated, taking orders, delivery of food - ALL of it was slow. My wife and I have been there 3 times for the Tomahawk steak for two, and we like it a lot. So much so that we've even had 8 or our family and friends join us one of the times. And even though I know it takes like a half hour for it to cook, most recently we got ours after nearly an hour.(Not) Funny thing too, my order was for med rare (more on the rare), and my brother's was medium… but theirs came more like rare, and mine almost medium well. For an $84 or $86 steak, you'd hope that they get it right… but after the long wait we were just too tired and hungry to argue, so we just left it alone. On Veteran's day, we chose to come here over the many other places that appreciated veterans with a free or nearly free meal because we had a better prior experience… but as it would turn out, this was a huge mistake. Because although we did get 20% off two of the 4 meals, since there was a service fee for the larger party of 20-something percent, it really only put a dent in the added up-charge.My advice to anyone is, it's OK to try *once*… and then never come back. And only on a day you're willing to give take it super slow and don't mind being taken through the ringer for lousy service. Honestly, though, I felt the poor service was attributed to the wait staff's personal prejudices - as I did notice they gave certain people better attention than others.

We had wonderful steaks here tonight. The strip and ribeye were cooked perfectly, seasoned nicely and very tender. The side dish of Brussels sprouts was delicious. Salmon was delicious as well. Service was good. I would go there again.

I try and I try and I try again. Hoping that something will change. The food is good. The service is sloppy and terrible. Ordered a to-go order. The person taking my order needs to be trained on the menu and food in general. I asked for the French dip, which the name of the sandwich on the menu is slightly different. She stated they didn't have a French dip. I had to look at the menu again and give her the exact name of the sandwich because she had no idea what I was taking about. I asked for one plain with just meat and cheese, she says, "So you don't want the bacon?" Bacon does not come on the sandwich. The menu price listed on their website is 13$ but they charged me 15$ Then they charge you a fee for using a card and not paying in cash. This is supposed to be a "ChopHouse"? Right? What upscale restaurant charges you if you don't use cash??? Again, the food is great but the service and extra charges are more than I can take. Please do better Griffin's! To be the only steakhouse in Lexington, y'all are going downhill VERY Fast!

I got the ribeye, smoked Mac n cheese, and the baked beans and they were all very good. My wife got the shaved ribeye sandwich and it was also very good. Definitely recommend.

Have eaten here many times for both lunch and dinner. The food has always been adequate, nothing special but acceptable. Last night two of us stopped in for dinner. We each had a filet and a couple glasses of wine. The bill was $126.00 which I thought was a bit high but not outrageous . What was outrageous was that they charged me 3.5% for using a credit card. There is no notice of this on their menu or website. Credit card processing fee is one of the cost of owning a business. Why not tack on a few dollars for the electric bill or the water bill. I will eat elsewhere.

Well, I agree with most other reviews. Some of the food is good, some over-priced, and service the time I was there was hit or miss, even getting the bill was a small ordeal. We ate on the patio. It is good bar food, but, I wouldn't go back with out of town friends to get the "food" itself. I liked the meatball appetizer, it was enough for a meal, I didn't order an entree, but others at the table did. I got a salad, which was good. Parking is very convenient.

Went on a date with the wife and ordered the Ribeye sandwich and the Southwestern burger. The ribeye steak was so tender and the hoagie was soft and crispy. One of the best ribeye sandwiches I have had in a while. The southwestern burger she got was also very good. I got the cowboy baked bbq beans, very tasty and flavorful. The bacon Mac and cheese was delicious also. To top it off we tried the Raspberry White Chocolate Cheesecake and Grant's Liquid Loud which were both excellent as well! All in all we really enjoyed the restaurant and the atmosphere and we're excited to come back and try more of the menu later.

Decent food however its a bit pricey for what you get. Good atmosphere and service. Check it out if you are in town

Always delicious never disappointed!! The staff is always friendly. I had the beef tips and brussel sprouts. The beef tips were tender and flavorful. I absolutely love their brussel sprouts. We have the Palmetto cheese dip for the appetizer. One of the best Palmetto cheese dips I have ever tasted. The salted caramel cheesecake was delicious also. My daughter had the strip steak and bacon Mac. Everything was delicious!
