It is what I think a Southern seafood restaurant should be. Blue and white checked table cloths and located a little off the beaten path is what this place is all about. I had shrimp and grits along with seafood chowder. It was delicious. Go there and maybe I will see you because I am going back soon.

Had blackened flounder and scallops. Perfectly cooked. 3 stars because hush puppies didn't come with sauce/dip.And didn't care for fries that took up most of the plate. I'd much rather have more fish and scallops than I paid $20.00 for. One piece of fish, 5 scallops.Great service, clean...when I can afford it, I'll definitely ask for baked potato instead.Remember, servers -- it's all about knowing what you're bringing to the table that matters in the tip!Fries were not at all impressive. Bring quality to the table. Like I said, well done as far as seafood itself. But overly compensating with tasteless fries- I'd much rather get the actual fish, etc. that I paid for.I can get fries anywhere.Even at captain D's I get more fish than fries.Did I say enough about fries??No more plate fillers, please!

The blackened seafood platter is wonderful. Great spice. Fried platter is very good as well. Sides are good but the collards are the best in town. Coleslaw is also awesome. Staff is great. Love Carla, she is very helpful. This place is a hidden gem.

I had a good lunch yesterday with seafood and catfish stew. Oak Grove Fish House is related to Blue Marlin downtown which brought me here. My Bride had crab cakes which were excellent. I had the grilled shrimp and scallops that were close to being good along with delicious catfish stew. Over the years they improved their catfish stew from brunswick stew to the much improved version today. The collards have improved from being too sweet to the latest improved version like Blue Marlin. The loss of one point was their grilled scallops and shrimp. They cooked these on the grill which had leftover whatever on it that changed the texture and flavor. There was an old oil flavor that really gave them a bad taste. I used a napkin to wipe as much off as possible. They really need a broiler to do seafood right.

My wife and I were concerned about eating here because most of the seafood is fried. But we came anyway and were immediately impressed with the cleanliness and cloth napkins. We both ordered grilled salmon and are glad we did. Perfectly cooked and delicious. And a huge portion! The waitstaff was attentive and efficient. The music was a bit loud for us. The price was very reasonable. We highly recommend this establishment.

The fish was well prepared and delicious. The restaurant had excellent staffing service. Pricing was not exorbitant. If you are looking for good seafood, I recommend this establishment, especially the various salmon dishes!

Can't say enough about this place. If you want something good, homemade, and filling and doesn't break the bank, here you go Oak Grove and West Columbia and Lexington. This place was started by the owners of the incredible restaurant The Blue Marlin in The Vista. I tried one of their signature plates, shrimp and grits, one word, delicious. And a shout-out to the manager Aimee and the young lady who rang me up Carla, it is obvious that they love where they work and there customers. Definitely going to dine in when Ms Aimee and Ms Carla are there!!! Thank you ladies for brightening my day!!!
It was I grease hush puppies/ fish was drop in corn meal with no seasoning. The Green bean a taste like the can

Well, what I really liked was hush puppy. That is it. I had shrimp grits(it is awarded per their menu). I did not care. I had much much better shrimp grits in Louisiana. If you like fried seafood, it is all good, but they need improve side dishes with fried stuff.
