Woodward Tavern was a nice little spot in Mt. Pleasant. I went to past time for an appointment. The service was really goo dan it it wasn't hat busy when I went. I was able to read a book and eat. The food was ok, I got the nachos. Presentation wasn't all that great. I don't think its a location I would go back to , but Im glad to say I have experienced it.

Not worth the money. After spending $26 on a burger and a pretzel with cheese sauce I would have had a better meal at 5 Guys. Burger was dry and well done( asked for medium rare) . Cheese sauce was goopy and tasteless. Save your money.

Sometimes you just want a friendly, neighborhood joint with good service and comforting bar food. This is that and more. Lots of tvs and a willingness to put on your team. A convivial crowd of locals. A cute shaded patio. A real chef on premises cooking to order. Also some pretty great specials that offer value. If you want to settle in and watch your favorite game over tasty food and drinks- give this neighborhood spot a try. Wings, salads, onion rings, tots, nachos, and chicken parmigiana sub were all devoured.

Ordered delivery and it took almost an hour for for the food to be "ready" for the delivery person then when the food finally showed up, everything was cold, soggy and gross. Never again.

Neat little place with really yummy food. Convenient location and nice atmosphere. Outdoor seating available and was shaded for our pup.

Mushroom and cheese pizza for $17 Overcooked burger with no condiments for $17 Ordered medium with ketchup, mustard, pickle. Overpriced mediocre food. Slow service. Most disappointing restaurant in the area.

I am in Mount Pleasant around 10 nights per month on business. I have eaten at many of the local restaurants over the last 9 months and have never had the urge to write a bad review. Woodward Tavern changes that for me. I ordered some pretzel bites and they served full pretzels that were almost cooked hard and a beer cheese that was too cold to be able to dip them in. The buffalo chicken club sandwich was terrible. The chicken breast was minuscule and there was a single piece of bacon on it. The service wasn’t any better than the food. Never bother with this place. ????. Two thumbs down

The pizza cost $2 more than what was printed on menu and the steak & feta salad cost $1 more than the menu price. The pizza was slightly better than a little Caesar's pizza and the steak in the salad was like a steak um.

We sat outside since it was such a nice day. The patio is a sort of alley-style set up. It did take us a minute to let someone know we were going to sit outside because they had only one server working. On a Saturday afternoon. We felt so bad that this guy was busting his butt to serve the tables inside and outside on his own. He was very friendly and helpful. Despite being the sole waitstaff, he did a great job. The food was great. The fries were absolute perfection- crispy and good flavor. The Buffalo chicken club was one of the better Buffalo chicken sandwiches around town. The Turkey club was pretty standard but still tasty! Tater tots were crispy and also delicious.

Best milkshakes and starters!! When busy the service is a little slower but everyone was very kind and the food was delicious. Milkshakes do taste and look different when you get them to go though, so definitely have them at the restaurant instead

Woodward Tavern on Riviera Drive in Mount Pleasant is a great place to go for delicious food and desserts. I really like everything that they have available here and have been impressed every time I have been here.

Ate there Sun. Eve. Ordered martini, salad and sandwich. Really slow service, only 4 customers in restaurant, served by a waiter with nasty nose ring and dirty looking shorts. We will not return poor food quality , slow service drinks my wife's margarita tasted like no tequila and my martini was extremely short bartender told me that the glass was small

I'm going to give it 3 stars, which is a shame because it deserved more with a simple fix! Wonderful young lady handling all aspects of the front of the house, solo, with great skill. It was lunch and she was host, bartender, waiter and bus person all into one efficient job! From experience I can say that isn't easy even during a quiet lunch crowd. Great tattoos, would have enjoyed perusing any others! Food was great and reasonably priced for the quality it is. The thing that was offensive and easily remedied was the smell! From experience I recognized the problem instantly. Dirty mop head/bucket needs changing/scrubbing more frequent. The cleaning of the floors made things worse. When I had my place we had foh and boh mops with frequent scrubbing of bucket! Easy fix....

1st time visitors to Charleston and after picking up some items at Target my husband decided to take a walk to see what's in the area. While walking we came upon this quaint restaurant/bar and decided to have a drink. Well unfortunately we were not greeted upon entrance, but took a seat at the bar and NO one acknowledged us at all but walked past us several times. Maybe WE needed to make ourselves known, I don't know. But another patron walked in, a regular I assume by the way he greeted the bartender, and right away asked what he'd like to drink. Needless to say my husband and I walked out....do better.
