Please try the hanger steak and the vegetable napoleons. Brunch dishes are DIVINE. Eric the bartender can help with a perfect wine paring. All of the servers are well versed with the menu. Anne, as my favorite server, is so helpful! Nice place for brunch and date night!

A great brunch experience circled around a French theme, the interior is accommodating to parties of 6. Plenty of drinks to choose from, cocktails, 6 draught beers as well as bottled and canned. French press coffee available! The menu is filled with delicious options. The staff was great and kept our cups full.

Hidden gem! It always seems that there is a restaurant like this in a strip mall away from the main drag and Bistro Toulouse aptly fits that description. It was time to take the gift certificate that my family gave me last year and put it to good use. We made a reservation and found our way over for a great meal in this hidden gem. If escargot is on the menu I'm getting it and it did not disappoint here. Flavorful and not too chewy plus great French bread to soak up the garlic infused butter sauce. A tray of olives topped off the appetizer round. Next came mushroom soup and onion soup, both quite delicious. Last but not least the steak frites and herb roasted chicken to top off a most delightful meal. Would be remiss in not mentioning our server , Ann, who was most helpful with suggestions and provided impeccable service. We will definitely be back and I'm adding Bistro Toulouse to my ever growing list of Charleston favorites.

Bistro Toulouse is a gourmet and romantic French restaurant located of all places near Causey's barber shop in the Harris Teeter shopping center at Chuck Dawley and Ben Sawyer in Mt Pleasant. I was impressed with the awesome dining experience that Chef Matthew Schultz created. Perfectly cooked Escargot, Octopus, Soft shell crab to start. Red Snapper as entrée and Lavender Soufflé Creme Brulée with French press coffee to finish. Stella our amazing waitress planned the whole show with over the top service and helped craft the best cocktails in town. Bravo to owner Candice Mahala and thank you Bistro Toulouse for a great evening.

Yes the exterior is a sterile strip mall next to a laundromat and a Harris Teeter, but exhibit A of "don't judge a book by its cover". Inside the doors of Bistro Toulouse is a lively joint, with staff that really know their product (read our bartender since we sat near him)...a wonderful gruyere (as it's supposed to be done...) onion soup, a poulet crepe with a southern bent (pieces of smoky thick cut bacon), and a steak frites with a very well done poivre sauce... definitely an eclectic crowd that ranges from ex-pat NYers to a sophisticated Southern bunch, to random folks that just like good food. This is a very cozy nook and made for a fun Valentines Day!
