After being away for 6+ years, it was so good to get a taste of our true favorite chicken sandwich joint. Tastes better than I remember it. Fast. Friendly. I love the outdoor seating. Makes me want to go back to Charleston again soon.

My family and I are big fans of boxcar Betty's.My one wish is that they could offer chicken sandwiches on the kids menu.My kids often want chicken sandwiches but they only offer chicken strips on the kids menu. So I end up ordering a regular chicken sandwich and then having to ask for a juice box separately. The checkout person is always confused in how to ring it up.

This place is fantastic! I had the best burger- pimento cheese and fried green tomatoes! The tomatoes were juicy and it was excellent. This restaurant is well worth the money and surpasses any other burger in town. Fried pickles were tasty -'a very fresh.

Excellent place but for something to be 5 stars for me it has to POP, it has to be perfect, nothing by any means is wrong with this place the chicken is incredible and that alone is 5 stars and the smash burger is also has an incredible flavor but everything other than the patty was fridge cold which isn’t bad but I prefer if I’m eating a burger for the rest of the ingredients not to be fridge cold, the smash burger would get 4.3 stars alone however the fries are pretty much average joe fries which aren’t bad but places overlook a good French fry because their main dish is supposed to be the star but that is what separates 4 stars from 5. Service was also great no complaints.

Fried chicken version of fast food. Everything was tasty but a bit pricey. Would only eat there again if in a pinch.
