Man we had a great time. Live music outside. Good seating. Inside atmosphere was really first class. Drinks where perfect. Service was great. If you like pork you’ll love this spot. Almost overwhelmed with the sausage plates. Everything was well cooked and tastes great. Not 5 stars because the platters all seemed to taste the same. Service was great.

This place is a disgrace!!!! We came here before and we had a WONDERFUL time and amazing cuisine. We booked a reservation online for my birthday, could not get through on the phone. When we arrived there was a sign on the door stating they were closed for good. There wasn't even an email or anything to patrons who made reservations and arrived to find it closed. Worst company and management.!!!!!!

Extremely expensive for mediocre food. The quality of the restaurant declined steeply in the past year, perhaps a covid casualty. Unfortunate, as I remember a much better experience a year ago than on our most recent trip which consisted of over salted mussels, stale bread, overcooked and over sauced Brussels sprouts, and undercooked wings. Steak and scallops were fine, but not good enough to justify their hefty price tags.

Great please, steak was amazing and so were the drinks! Customer services was on point! The o my thing is they forgot the appetizer that we ordered which we told him what we wanted before ordering drinks so I'm assuming he just put the drinks in and forgot the appetizer but everything else tasted great!

Some of the best places to eat are actually in strip malls. We got to hear live music (great covers) and eat delicious Brussels sprouts and brisket. We will be back. Our waiter Toussaint was a gem!

The food and service were good. I had a flavorful pork chop, but it did not need the sauce or the random items stacked on top. Disappointing Caesar Salad. Tried too hard once again with needless toppings. I was expecting a classic steakhouse Caesar. And no anchovies?? My biggest issue was the bill. On the cocktail menu, they offer a Manhattan with Knob Creek for $12. I prefer Buffalo Trace and asked for that instead. When I got my bill it was $19 for a Manhattan. I don't think I've had a $19 Manhattan except when I'm in Manhattan. This is a restaurant in a strip mall in Mount Pleasant. Superfluous up-charge that discourages me from ever returning.

I had my rehearsal dinner here in one of the private rooms (gorgeous space) with 20 guests, and the food blew everyone away. It was absolutely delicious and the family style platters were piled high with more food than we could finish. The service was perfection from my first email with their manager, Gaby to receiving our bill. I highly recommend Butcher and Boar!

It was a special dinner for my husband's birthday and all he asked for was prime rib. We are traveling and I underestimated the need for a reservation. I came across The Butcher & the Boar on Yelp, and it was serendipity!! We got an early reservation and beat the rain storm that started a little after we arrived. Service was great, with our waiter Nick making excellent recommendations (terrific service, too). You MUST order the chicken wings. I know. Not the fanciest sounding dish on their impressive menu, but the wings are smoked first and tossed in a light sauce, so the smoke flavor shines through. The prime rib was also smoked and probably the best cut of prime rib I have ever seen. I ordered the filet medium rare and it was cooked to perfection. The last item that I would highly recommend is the spicy brussel sprouts. They will have me chasing to replicate that recipe for a long time to come. Thank you for an outstanding meal and birthday celebration!!

Excellent meal and excellent service! Would highly recommend! Only discovered this gem as an afterthought when we couldn't get reservations to eat anywhere in downtown Charleston. So thrilled we ate here instead! The pork chops, salmon, and corn bread were all incredible. Can't wait to return!

Exceptional food. From the fried green tomatoes appetizer to the filet mignon to the mashed potatoes to the collard greens to the s'mores dessert, everything was superb. Best steak I have ever had! Well with every penny. A great atmosphere and the service was top notch. I wish we lived closer. We would come back often.

Stumbled upon this restaurant while visiting SC. The meat is definitely the highlight of the restaurant. The pork chop and the beef rib were excellent. Id highly recommend splitting the beef rib. The beef rib comes with a slaw, however my suggestion to the kitchen is to add more slaw to balance the meat to slaw ratio. For sides, I found the brussel sprouts underwhelming, and honestly I was looking for something to cut richness (they were flash fried). Moving to the dessert, the carrot cake and creme brulee were great. The cake was moist and just right on the sweetness.

Loved everything! The sausage sampler was fabulous! Be warned, one is spicy, but so good! Hubby had the double pork chops; they're first smoked and then grilled. Beautiful smoke ring and thickest cut I've ever seen! I had the 8oz filet and it was perfectly cooked! If I had to mention one slightly negative thing, it would be that the service was a bit slow, but they were pretty busy. Not enough to take away a star and we'll definitely go back!

Went Wednesday night. Musician was amazing... food was mediocre at best. Nice decor but to me food was lacking for the hype..

This is a pretty amazing place. The food the service and the atmosphere were fantastic.Just maybe a little overpriced on their food. Also, the menu doesn't state that certain food items are spicy. For example: the fried green tomatoes are excellent but they're spicy and that wasn't on the menu in the description.I don't really like a lot of spice in my food so I would suggest that they mention that before you order it.Also, everything was very salty especially the mash potatoes so maybe they could lighten up on the salt.Other than that it is an amazing restaurant with really good food.
