I went there to eat and to help a young man with his trip to Sweden. I ordered my food and the staff was very friendly, no gripe about them. I my only complaint was the condition of the food, it was very cold. It seemed like the hot dogs and the chili minus the sauce were sitting in a refrigerator. I threw my food away, didn't even bother on trying to eat it. Donated money for my friend's son's trip and left and surely never going back. If like cold hot dogs and chili, this is your place to eat.

We love this place, the food, service and atmosphere are great. We arrived 30 minutes before closing and they made us and several other customers feel very welcome. I strongly recommend this great place.
Food was delish. Sadly the little girl who took our order had trouble entering it into the system. Trying to straighten it out all we got was attitude and just plain rudeness. Completely unnecessary since it wasn't our fault. What a miserable unhappy person. Too bad because the food is so good. Completely ruined our experience.
Such an amazing little dive!! My wife and I travel a good bit to Charleston and always stop by for the best dog and fries ever!!!

When we lived in NC, we didn’t mind making the two hour trek just to eat at Jack’s Cosmic Dogs. We now live in TN so when we made a decision to vacation in Charleston, Jack’s was #1 on our list and went today, our first day in town. Unfortunately we were disappointed. The hot dogs were just okay. They were barely warm and, while the hot dog itself was very tasty, the toppings were underwhelming with the exception of Jack’s Cosmic mustard. On top of that, our basket of fries had been sitting already cooked for who knows how long and very overcooked. We threw more than half of them away because they just weren’t worth eating. Our plans to eat here at least twice this week have sadly changed. The young staff working there did not seem to care about quality. They even seemed annoyed to have customers there at all. I hate that things have changed so much in just a few years.

Blonde girl at register was patient and sweet as it was my first time. Offered some great recommendations. I got a “beam me up brat and galactic dog. Powerade to drink. Fries with everything on it(I believe they were called big bang fries) . The fries were amazing!!! Both dogs were delicious but that galactic dog was outta this world! Spent $22 for everything! Really good spot! Would recommend!Vegetarian options: They did have 4 different options for vegetarian mealsParking: Parking directly in front or along side of building… when it’s popping it can be hard to find parking.Kid-friendliness: Great atmosphere with handmade robots! Kids loved it

I want to love Jacks so bad went there once and had an amazing experience but every experience after has been the same . They never have the advertised Vegeroid hot dog . If you not going to have it ever just take it off the menu at this point . 4 separate visits and everytime they never have it . Starting to feel like a classic bait and switch where they tell you they have something to get you there and then when you get there they don’t have it and they assume your going to get something else . Everybody wants to get on the bandwagon of having vegan options but nobody wants to really HAVE options .

The place seems cool n all but the food wasn't that good. Hot dogs were of very poor quality and the chili had absolutely no flavor along with the cheese sauce. The coleslaw was pretty good but the rest wasn't. Fries where actually good. But I will definitely not be coming back here.
