Worst customer service ever. Waited for 30 minutes and rude staff said they forgot my order. Cashier was rude to me and my wife. As Peruvian the service offends the name of the restaurant. She seems like she doesn’t want to be there. And she is right she shouldn’t.

Chicken was very dry and the sides were bland. Chicken sits under a Heat lamp.Disappointing. Was looking forward to tasting classic Peruvian flavors.

Terrible service, terrible experience, when I arrived the only people who were working were sitting eating, I stood in front of a tablet and ordered my food, I had to wait for them to eat so they could start making my food, they should take turns, so the customers don't They would wait for them to finish eating, they served me a different drink, then they changed it for me, and when she was in the back. Later I saw that a lid that I presume is rice fell on the floor, she didn't wash it, she just put it back... the food was good. I don't understand how the owner has employees like that... that's why there are businesses that are more successful than others.

The cashier didn't think me spending money was worthwhile. She spent her time on her IPAD/some type of electronic gear. Just because of her poor customer service attitude, I don't plan to return or encourage anyone to dine here. THE PERUVIAN CHICKEN restuarant on Dorchester Road is the Peruvian restuarant that I will continue to support.

The roasted chicken is always good. It reminds me my country. Of course you can’t get the best quality’s of the ingredients that you can get in Peru but I’m sure they try to make it good. I love it always.

Went there for breakfast at 7 am. I work nights so I cannot visit during the day. The chicharrón breakfast sandwich was amazing. Full of flavor with a cup of coffee. I also had the cheese sandwich. The goat cheese was very tasty but the sandwich was dull. Perhaps needs to be heated. Nevertheless, I put it on the air fryer at home and it was delicious. I got me a whole chicken left over from the night before to make soup but I ate a few pieces while cutting it and it was so good. The chicken is flavorful with very distinctive spices. Highly recommended during lunch.

Such a wonderful, delicious lineup of Latin fare and friendliness. Everything was a first for me despite my relationship with a Chilean restaurateur in Bethesda, Md., years ago who'd introduced me to the flavors and customs of South America. Not spicy but spiced delicately using elements of Spanish and Portuguese cooking that feature fish, beef and chicken cooked with near mystical perfection with toasty, lightly smoked, and often with hints of citrus marinade, lime, lemon and mango that embrace the meat resulting in a crispy tender dish sprinkled with something quite engaging of all senses; amounting to what I'd suggest as comfortably spiced dishes with nothing dominating the dish but marrying the meat to vegetables and unite into savory bites. After eying the line up of browned, seasoned crusted rotisserie chickens encased at the counter, i ordered delicately spiced quartered chicken and sauteed string beans, and added a serving of yuca root fries that are like fried wedges potatoes but are denser and less starchy. To drink, I ventured into purple corn juice spiced with clove, cinnamon and citrus, called Chicha Morada. I imagine this would make a great vodka-laced cocktail.I wish I'd gotten the name of the dessert, which was simply delightful. Stephanie, the manager, said these caramel pinwheel cakes are made freshly daily by the owners Mario's.These cakes demonstrate the perfectly, almost subtly sweet desserts that I love with Latin and Mexican baked treats. The cakes have a smooth consistent density resulting in lightly sweet pallet pleaser.A trip to Mount Pleasant will be made strictly around Mario's weekend presentation of ceviche, a Peruvian hallmark delicacy of citrus marinaded fish, shellfish, onion and seasonings. The all-women staff are lovely ambassadors of various Latin and South American countries and Cuba, and each contribute to the flavors, fares, warmth and welcome into this brilliantly unassuming, authentic experience and restaurant. (Located next to the former Bi-Lo in the Sweetgrass Shopping Center off Johnnie Dodds Blvd.)
