Thank you so much to the kind folks at Olde Colony Bakery for donating 6 lbs of benne wafers to our school's robotics team! We needed to find something to represent the Charleston area when we headed to the World Championships in Texas and Olde Colony stepped up and gave us the benne wafers immediately when we asked. Thank you so much for supporting our students!!

1st time at their store. Great customers service by Phil. Great affordable locally made cookies, bloody Mary mix, olive oil and so much more. I got all of my out of state gifts and more in one stop. This is a hidden gem.

I was visiting friends in Myrtle Beach and discovered the cookies in a shop. I purchased 2 bags of the ginger cookies and I am definately hooked !! Once I arrived home I discovered the website and I now have the opportunity to try the other flavors !! Trust me, you will not be disappointed .

We tried some at the city market & were hooked! They’re like crack! But we looked up the original, found this little shop in Mt Pleasant & bought 9 bags to take home to Nashville!

A big fan of the benne wafers and have been ordering for years recently I saw them on Amazon and added some to my order. They arrived from Amazon broken and crushed. I messaged Olde Colony to let them know and even though that was a third party person selling on Amazon the folks at Olde Colony send me some replacement bags. I didn’t ask for that and was impressed with their customer service. They went above and beyond.

The ginger cookies are the best! I have them shipped to Massachusetts and they do an amazing job wrapping and protecting them from breakage. Nothing better with a cup of tea! Yum! Thank you Olde Colony Bakery!!! Keep on baking!

I am originally from Charleston and LOVE the Benne Wafers made at this bakery. I have been eating them since I was a little girl. Unable to visit, I ordered a pound of the wafers and paid for expeditied shipping to get them as soon as possible (sooo good)! The delivery guy left the package out where animals got to it before I got home from work (life in the woods) and did not really offer to fix the problem. I called the bakery and they IMMEDIATELY overnighted me replacement cookies. I was THRILLED to receive such amazing service on top of the already delicious baked goods!!

Nice to find Olde Colony Barkery so close to where I live. Located near the Wando Terminal in Mt.Pleasant, they have a small gift shop where you can purchase their baked items and other local foods. The bakery business is actually 30+ years old, they specialize in making Charleston's original benne wafers. Plus there is so much more like pecan pinchies, benne cheese zingers, cream bread, cinnamon bread and for the holiday fruit cake. Their products have no preservatives, no chemicals, no hydrogenated oils, just delicious cookies made naturally. I stopped by for the fruit cake and sugar cookies, just something for us. They graciously had samples of the fruit cake out and it was so good, I had to buy one. The cake was moist, flavorful and just perfect. Inside while shopping one of the owners (Phillip) greeted me and 2 other shoppers. During this time he was friendly and engaging, asking where we were from, offering samples of the cookies, and talking about the business. It's great to find such a local business nearby that has found their niche and can has so many great things for shoppers. You probably see their cookies in stores downtown, so next time head this way to get it fresh and right from the baker.
