Fun bar with games like ski ball, basketball, pinball, guitar hero & shooting games. They serve food as well but haven't gone there to eat yet.

This and Royal American are my favorite local bars in the area. Always great food, great specials, fast service, also the heaters were clutch this winter. Been coming here about once a week since moving to Mount Pleasant and they are always on their A-Game.

After 4 years of loving this place and recommending it for its atmosphere, beer selection, and pretzels I will never come back. And it’s hard to say this after bonding with the owner over Ocean City, MD and our love for the hometown Baltimore Ravens. I came here with my Fiance to celebrate our engagement this evening and was laughed at when I tried to order food. As I ordered 2 appetizers, 2 orders of chicken tenders, and a burger with more to go (full order added at the bottom), the bartender shook his head and let me know sarcastically that it would be well over an hour for our food and acted as though we were putting him out. Even after we told him this was fine he tried to convince us it wasn’t and would be too long. There were maybe 8 people at the bar and 2 other tables outside of our own and we were told they “have a small kitchen and they can’t handle 8 people tables”. I’ve been here many times before for trivia, drinks, and food and have seen this place rocking, so I know they can handle the customers. I know if the owner had been there he wouldn’t have accepted this. Such a shame.-Stuffed jalapeños-Fancy grilled cheese add bacon-Chicken tender basket with Honey bbq-Chicken tender basket with maple mustard-Potato skins with sour cream-Single smash burger-Mozzarella sticks-Chicken tender basket Nashville hot chicken style-Single smash burger add lettuce and onion

Very disappointing. Stopped by on a Sunday for lunch. Just a few people at the bar. We took a seat at a table and even my husband, who is deaf in one ear, commented on how loud the football game was. Took over a half hour for a hamburger, chicken fingers and a chicken sandwich. All were overcooked. To top it all off, they added a 3% "merchant fee" that was not disclosed anywhere on the menu.

We went as a last minute "lets go grab lunch with kids" on a gloomy, early release, school day. We went in with low expectations and were very pleasantly surprised. Expected blah bar food, but everyones food was really good!! They had a little arcade which was fun to keep the kids entertained, games were a little pricey, but least of our concerns. Service was friendly and quick. We'll be back for sure.

Atmosphere was great, staff was great and it’s a good spot for the game, but the food was awful. Burger was over cooked and inedible…wings were not smoked , they’re fried and were dry. We drove 10 hours today and we’re starving so we finished it just to get something in our stomach. We closed our tabs and moved on to a new spot to watch the game.Pictures of the food in the reviews are from 5 years ago, so it’s very deceiving. Definitely not the same.Dietary restrictions: Not gluten free friendly.

Corner Bar Meet Up for LocalsThe Basement is your quintessential local watering hole, with a vibe that beckons regulars to relax, socialize, and enjoy. While the bar might not offer an over-the-top experience, it's the simplicity, and the built-out patio bar next to an old drive-through restaurant, that gives it character. Why the 4-star rating? At first glance, I was inclined to rate it a three, but what elevates The Basement from a typical corner bar is its outstanding staff and impressive selection of beer and alcohol. My initiation to this place was on a Taco Tuesday, and while that's been my sole culinary experience here, I can vouch for the tasty and comforting nature of their tacos - a solid offering for a local dive bar.The Vibe:- Good For: Happy hours, post-work relaxation, weekend chill sessions, and anyone looking to immerse in a community where, after a few visits, everyone will probably know your name. The main draw? Cold drinks and great company.- Not Ideal For: Family dinners or intimate date nights with your significant other. This isn't the spot for a quiet conversation over candlelit dinner.A Little Extra:There's a fun side room featuring an array of amusement games, ranging from skeet ball to basketball, video arcade golf, and other arcade classics. So if you're in the mood for a playful competition while enjoying a drink, this place checks that box.Bonus: there’s a whole host of daily drink specials that are always on all the time. Here’s an example and kind of fun, is the mystery craft beer. I enjoyed a new craft double IPA beer that was excellent for a very reasonable $5. Similarly, there are some mystery shot and beer combos available.Another bonus you’re going to find here is that this is probably the nicest dive bar bathroom that I’ve ever seen. It’s even far nicer than most of the local restaurants that I’ve been to. This place has a peculiar uniqueness.Practicalities:Parking is a breeze, and the patrons exude a warmth that makes you feel like a regular, even if it's your first visit. Conclusion:For a local corner bar, The Basement scores a reasonable 4 stars. It's a place where the drinks and camaraderie shine brighter than the frills, making it an authentic spot for genuine connections.

It's a cool place in this side of town. Small arcade and a local bar feel. The food is unexpectedly good. I will and have returned.
