```markdownAh, Tavern & Table in Charleston, SC – where the food's as good as a hole-in-one and the atmosphere's more comforting than a well-worn pair of golf shoes. Let me tee off this review by saying, if you're looking for a place that's on par with the best, this is it!Walking in, the rustic charm hits you like a gentle breeze on the back nine. The place has a vibe that says, 'Relax, but keep your elbows off the table.' It's the kind of spot where you'd expect to see a dad wearing his 'Best Par None' cap, giving a thumbs-up to the server.Speaking of servers, they're so friendly and attentive, you'd think they were competing for the 'Masters' of customer service. They know the menu like I know the back of my hand after a mosquito bite – intimately and with slight annoyance that I didn't notice sooner.Now, let's talk about the menu – it's like a well-organized golf bag, everything in its place and full of surprises. The appetizers are the perfect 'fore'-play to the main course. I'd recommend the shrimp and grits – they're smoother than the green on the 18th hole.For the main course, the steak is a must-try. It's cooked to perfection, like a drive straight down the fairway. And don't get me started on the sides – the mashed potatoes are fluffier than my golf pants after Thanksgiving dinner.Desserts? Well, let's just say they're the 'sweet spot'. The chocolate lava cake flows like my tears after missing a putt for birdie. It's a hole-in-one for your taste buds.The drink selection is as varied as a pro golfer's trophy room. Whether you're sipping on a craft beer or a cocktail, you'll feel like you've just won the club championship.In conclusion, Tavern & Table is the '19th hole' of dining experiences. It's where you go to unwind after a long day on the links, tell a few dad jokes, and enjoy a meal that's above 'par'. So, grab your 'foodie' clubs and swing by – it's a fairway to heaven!
Great cocktails with a beautiful view of the water. My wife and I came in for a few drinks and to just enjoy hanging out. Nice place to wear a little nicer clothes and get a nice cocktail.
Wasn’t too hungry, so I ordered the shrimp avocado salad and my wife ordered a flatbread. Both were delicious. We did have to wait a fair amount for a table, but we were a party of 10 on a Friday night, so it made sense.
Very nice restaurant by the water with great views on the creek with a sight of dolphins. Seafood platter was very good, pimiento cheese was too creamy I prefer them a little more tough but still ok and then had the swordfish which was really really good with a chickpea pepper base really appreciated that! Definitely will be back it’s a great place
We recently Thursday April,11th ate here for dinner set up for the 62' class reunion Port Washington Schreiber high school (24 people). This was arranged by Jeff Futter. We were very impressed at the set up for us including a private room, flatbread and potato sticks and service. The choice of salmon and herbal chicken were terrific and delicious. It was all very appreciated. Your server and service was excellent. Highly recommend this restaurant. Also for future people highly recommend reservations ahead of time.'
Nice, laid-back atmosphere on the water with delicious food!There were three of us in our party. We ordered the Skillet of Cornbread and the Burnt End Mac & Cheese as our appetizers, and both were delicious and very filling.We followed up with the Shrimp & Grits, Pasta Bolognese, and the Double Double. All three dishes were delicious, but everyone agreed that the Bolognese was the most delicious.Our waitress, Katie, was amazing. She knew the right times to come to our table and made our experience that much better.
