Some of the best breakfast food in the area, and there are lots of contenders! I make sure I come here every time we visit Garden City. Lots of homemade elements and everything is full of flavor and so satisfying. Every portion is more than enough to fill you up. Service is always great and gives you a warm southern welcome!
Kid-friendliness: Always enjoy going to Flapjack's with my granddaughter; she has renamed it "The Bear House" in honor of the huge stuffed bear at the entrance. Love the food, service, and family ambiance. The fireplace on a cold morning is just lovely.

EVERY SINGLE TIME WE COME HERE!!! THE FOOD AND SERVICE IS THE VERY BEST!!! WE MISSED DAVE THE OWNER!! HE COMES OUT AND TALKS TO HIS COSTUMERS!! NOW HOW FRIGGING AWESOME IS THAT!! It was freezing inside the restaurant. A kind man sitting close to the fireplace offers us his seat because hewas done eating. He asked the hostess if we could switch tables. Nope the hostess completely ignored the request and sat someone else there.
Just DON'T asked for extra blueberries INSIDE the pancakes. Apparently they don't know how to put them in the pancakes. This is a running joke now. You may get 4 blueberries, but there never seems to be a nice amount of blueberries. The last time we tried, we got a bowl of cold blueberries on the side, and they tasted like @ss. Just sayn

Genuine home style cooked food. I had eggs and pancakes with candied bacon and it was awesome. Although the bacon could have been a little more zippy for my taste but they were sweetly delicious. Our waitress was tentative and our order came out quickly. The restaurant was clean and decorated in a southern style. They was a lot of space between tables and we didn't have to listen to other guests conversations.

My experience with this breakfast restaurant definitely puts it in the front running before any other breakfast type restaurant. The owner David was very accommodating when I called the night before concerned because I'm gluten free and egg yolk free so he made my pancakes gluten-free and he used whites to make my eggs. All of the servers were as accommodating and polite the attendant that took care of my table his name was Brian and he was the one who then ordered the hashbrown Skillet dish which has about everything you can think of in it pancakes, bacon, eggs, home fries, biscuit with White sausage.

I really wish I could say my bannana pecan pancakes were good but unfortunately they were very dry,the middle pancake was literally white as if it was never put on the grill and maybe microwaved. Very dissapointing. Our server however was great ! She was friendly and always smiling.
