When we got to the window there were 2 girls working and one was outside smoking. When she came back inside to take our order she didn’t even wash her hands, mind you this was right after she was smoking…. Gross

We arrived at 8:45 and were told they "ran out of ice". The worker even told us that they close at 9 but could not serve us and to come back tomorrow at noon. If you are open til 9 you should serve til 9. We spent money on an uber to get there just to be turned away. What a waste of time and money. You have lost our business.

Way overpriced. Cheaper snowballs at many other places on the strand. only reason it was not one star is because of the high school kid named Maddy who was working there and went above and beyond. Super sweet kid working by herself when there was a line at the window AND at the drive through. My kids were fighting and even though she was completely overwhelmed, she made it a point to throw ice at them and flash them a warming smile from a "big girl" to distract them so they started having fun. Experience was 4 stars. Food was 1 star. I like that they have enough faith in a high school kid to run the walk-up and drive-through by herself in 90+ degree weather with no help for an overheated crowd. Maddy did great. The operation, on the other hand, needs work. Maybe providing a shady overhang for customers would be a smart move. Cornhole is fine, unless You're playing cornhole in 98 degree weather with no shade.

Extensive flavor options and kind employees. Walk up window with games as well as a drive up window. Definitely going back before the week is up! Delicious and kicks the sno-cones from Columbus, OH to the curb. Can we get one of these in C-bus?
If it's a hot and muggy evening or day even, this is the place to go, tons of flavors to choose from even sugar free options. A nice delicious, light treat if you don't want the heaviness of ice cream on a hot summer night.

Just visited Pelican’s SnoBalls to finish out our vacation week. Not only we’re the SnoBalls great but the employees were amazing and we’re super great to my kids!! Where else can you throw SnoBalls at each other. Great to see someone really enjoying their job!!

We have always adored Pelicans snoballs since this location opened in garden city. The past two years we were there at least once a week all summer - sometimes more. Our favorite after-beach treat! We’ve been twice already this summer and each experience has been sorely disappointing. It’s clearly under new ownership and the changes are not for the better.They’ve taken away the games and added a drive thru - the environment is completely changed. But that’s the least of the problems.Each time we’ve been, only one guy is working alone and it takes 20-30 minutes to get through the line. In summers past, the woman who ran the place had at least 2 or three kids working inside pumping the snoballs out quickly. The service was fast and so friendly. I never caught her name, but she was doing it right!Both times this summer I’ve watched them touch the ice blocks with their bare hands - no gloves. They are super heavy handed on the syrup - leaving the last half inedible.All in all, we love pelicans - we’re just sad that The experience isn’t close to what it used to be and we probably won’t be frequenting this one the way we used to.

Terrible service. One employee working in the middle of the day with multiple people waiting. Very slow and unorganized. When I explained that I was a pelicans snoball employee at the ballentine sc location the guy did not believe me after telling them who the owners were that I work for, so I wasn't given a discount or free snoball. Also way too much syrup was put on the ice for the hot weather, my snoball was complete liquid in 5 minutes.
$6 for a small cup of ice. Criminal prices.
