I first tried the Organic Sumatra a my friend’s house. My wife wasn’t a huge fan, I decided to grab a couple of bags of whole bean from my local Ingles. The Kiawah is our perfect middle ground. Medium to bold roast, chocolate undertones, very smooth. Great in a drip coffee maker, great as a pour over, also makes a really good cold brew. The Rainforest is actually really good too. But when I’m drinking by myself, I’m back to the Sumatra. As a South Carolina native, I also love that it’s local; but it wouldn’t matter where it’s roasted, I’d drink it…

We bought some Rainforest Blend from a local grocery store. It is the blandest coffee that I have ever tasted.

I am in LOVE with the Kiawah Organic blend. I have tried making coffee at home with so many different brands over the years, nothing has come close to how good the Kiawah blend is. This particular blend is available in whole bean form at a couple of local grocery chains, so I'm able to grind the beans myself to get more flavor. I use a cheap coffee maker and this coffee STILL comes out amazing. I do a fine to extra fine grind because my coffee maker pushes water through so quickly it isn't able to extract much flavor without some help. I typically make one cup at a time using 3 level tablespoon scoops (loosely packed) and 6.3 ounces of spring water (two scoops per 6oz cup). Prefer coffee on the stronger side. You may want to adjust this ratio when making multiple cups. When done this way, for me, the flavor always comes out as the packaging describes, "Smooth, rich and full-bodied with chocolate overtones". Not only is the coffee fantastic, they have great-looking packaging/merch available for purchase on their website. Whomever is responsible for the graphic design did an awesome job. Super clean. *Please restock shirts and Jo the Plush Sea Turtle!* No, I do not work for the company. No, I wasn't paid in any way to write this review, I'm just a super-impressed, happy customer:)

First time visiting and what an awesome experience. Right next door to what seems to be a periodic farmers market set up (seasonal?). Ordered the Ethiopian pour over and a mocha and both drinks were stellar. Baristas were very friendly. The shop was more centered towards tables for families to sit and spend time than to study or do work although there were several people working with laptops. Parking situation is possibly a little tricky. We parked across the street at the bank and there seemed to be some on street parking. Cute place and lots of different roast styles (obviously, they roast their own coffee).

I was excited to try this coffee. Ordered a variety and made a pot using my normal measure. Nothing. The coffee has no flavor at all. I tried their dark roast and unbelievably bland. My Folgers has more flavor than this coffee.Huge disappointment. It's not that the coffee is bad, it just doesn't have any flavor at all. If you like it, great, but to me it was money wasted.

The first time drinking coffee from here I knew I would fall in love with it. I live in the Upstate of SC but order from them online and thankfully can find their coffees at Lowe's foods when I want it

The flavor is fine, wouldn’t be able to distinguish it from Private Selection from Kroger. The kicker is the glue on the bag absolutely would not budge. Had to cut the whole top of the bag open. Maybe consider using a non-industrial grade adhesive to seal these? Only bought because it was on sale and semi-local. Won’t be buying again.

The Kiawah Blend is my new favorite. Thanks, I really enjoy your coffee!

They used to make decent coffee. Now they are just another sellout coffee roaster that sells dark roasts as "medium".

Best local coffee roaster around. I love this stuff. The only reason I'd buy anything else would be because CCR wasn't available.

Bought because it's organic since regular coffee can be acidic. The coffee tasted good but caused stomach irritation which is why I buy organic. Also, organic coffee is grown at high altitude to avoid insecticides. If it's grown in Charleston SC- it's flat so this can't be organic.

I’m obsessed with Charleston Coffee Roasters, it’s a staple at my coffee station and every single person that visits my home here in Charleston is pleasantly satisfied (all mostly guests from the coffee Capitol of the country - Seattle!)! Looking forward to trying the beach house blend! ?

Tried to open your coffee. Didn’t want to use scissors so that I could use the provided tie to keep it closed. I should have used scissors and trashed the tie. The coffee burst all over my floor. This was my FIRST time trying your coffee and it will be the last. If you cannot figure out packaging, what are you doing selling packaged coffee?!?!
