I can't for the life of me figure out why people think this is italian and a place to eat. The calamari was cold and greasy, the shrimp scampi - small shrimp and the food was room temperature. The salad 2 pieces of tomato, some cucumber and was so drenched in dressing as to be inedible. I asked that the salad be replaced and with dressing on the side. Ambience? No decor to speak of and it was dark not much in the way of lighting and the table was dark wood. There was a vent directly over our table - we asked to be moved but the request could not be accommodated. We have dined at La Rustica in Summervile several times and it was as authentic an italian meal you can get outside of Brooklyn, the bronx and Jersey. Find another restaurant.

A nice little Italian restaurant that gives an atmosphere of intimacy with reasonably priced cuisine. The owner has stopped by and spoke with us every time we’ve visited and the service is fantastic. I would also like to say thank you to Tiffany who was our server for the wonderful job she did as it being her first week on the job! If you’re in the area highly recommend stopping in and enjoying a fine dining experience.
