Love their menu pricing for a soup and sandwich. Nice little spot for just that.

Pretty decent for a chain. Their She Crab soup great but gave is a 4 of 5 because we live here in Charleston and we'll the restaurants all have amazing menus and all their soups are 5's!

Local favorite and very reliable. Good variety of soups, salads and sandwiches to tickle the palate of carnivores and vegetarians alike. Recommended.

Took us roughly 45 min to get 3 pre-made soups, sandwiches and salads. The grill was broken down, no cup carriers, no grilled chicken...we should have driven the additional 30 min to the Knightsville location. Won't be returning.

Sometimes they have great soups. But what they mostly have is staff w attitude. Place closes at 3pm. We got there @ 2:30pm. Soups are premade so I knew by the time we ate, we would be done before closing time. The girl at the counter never made eye contact with us while ordering. She obviously didn't want to be there. We decided to sit in the way back since that was the only table in the sun. When she brought us our food, she made sure to not only look at her watch but her phone as well, making us feel rushed. Definitely not the best customer service.

I have a few favorites here but, try anything, it's all good

I love Ladles! My only problem with this one is, they don't wear hairnets in the kitchen, and the front needs gloves if they're going to fix soups. I hope the kitchen wears gloves

This is an awesome little soup and sandwich shop. My favorite is their Pimento Cheese sandwich.

Tried this place for the first time tonight via Ubereats because I wanted hot dogs and they had them. I also got the Baron von Ladles sandwich. I ate my dog with American cheese and jalapenos after adding yellow mustard at home because I didn't want the bun getting soggy during the journey to me. Hubby got a dog with American cheese, onions, and chili. The chili came nicely on the side. Unfortunately it appears to be chili like you eat, not hot dog chili, and as such was a bit thin and chunky so it kept falling off the dog. But he said the flavor was good. The dog was all-beef and tasty, and the bun was great, crispy crusty outside and toothy interior. My sandwich featured hot ham and Swiss cheese with lettuce, tomato, and grainy mustard on a springy pretzel bun. I am a s***** for a pretzel bun. By the time I was ready to eat it the meat and cheese had cooled but it was still delicious, with just the right balance of salty meat and cheese, crisp lettuce, and tangy mustard. Initially it looked small for the price, but it was quite filling.I really want to try their Greek lemon chicken soup and their BLT on a pretzel bun like tomorrow. If it rains again, maybe I will. It's the weekend, after all.
