The staff is very nice once you enter. I have not been in a few years. I ordered a brisket sandwich and 2 sides of Mac n cheese because I was feeling like a kid. The brisket is so very tender and doesn't need sauce except I love dipping things into sauce, my choice was sweet & sassy (like myself). I did take out but if I stayed it's clean and relaxing with the lack of bright lights over head. The Mac n cheese that I was so looking forward to was probably why I have not returned, sadly. No cheese flavor and reminds me of the time I got a pan of Mac n cheese from US Foods and it also had no flavor just a yellow sauce and over cooked noodles. I will go back though, I love brisket - I'll just try other sides.

Really good! I had the ribs, the husband had the brisket. Good portion sizes; tender! I like the I various sauces you can select. The hickory was our favorite. Huge amount of fries (did not finish!), Texas toast. You order, sit, & it's bright to you.Visiting Charleston & after driving 4.5 hrs, this was close to our hotel- glad we came!

Fantastic BBQ spot tucked away in a small plaza. Don't pass this one by because you'd miss it. Excellent selection of meats and sides. Everything you'd expect from some good old fashioned down south cooking. I opted for the smoked sausage with collard greens and Mac. It was all excellent and I'd return to dine again.

It took a while to get through the line with two people in front of us. They should've opened up the other other register. In spite of that minimal hiccup the employees were very friendly and professional. The food was very good! Chicken, brisket and pork all cooked to perfection. The amount provided vs cost was very judicious. Will definitely go back!

Willie Jewell’s is fantastic. I had the brisket with a side of Brunswick stew. The Brisket was delicious and very tender and juicy. I used the vinegar and the hickory heaven barbeque sauce and the hot mama sauce was good too! The stew was delicious as well. You can’t go wrong at willie jewll’s

This place is awesome! It is so unassuming with a decor that defines the word kitsch. Tucked away in a faceless strip center, this tiny footprint stands ignominiously above the asphalt and maddening crowd. But the smells and tastes beckons back to a time when good food was the thing most people revered. While the environment screams 1960's, the edibles approach a spiritual experience with the sweet incense of slow-cooked brisket alerting all those who enter that they have at long last found the Holy Grail of beef BBQ. The sides... the sauce... even the smoke tinged air takes the diner to a time and place where BBQ was the gospel spoken to the sophisticated palates that celebrated a Southern cuisine from Charleston to the long forgotten halls of Valhalla. Your first bite into that golden beef will transport you to an experience unchallenged by the other eateries in the area. You'll forget all those disappointing forays into BBQ mediocrity. The best advice I can leave with you is to not let the sun set upon another BBQ experience without venturing into the "Jewel"! I promise that you will leave with a similar perspective and a tale about this sacred space so worthy your telling that your grandchildren will sing about it for generations to come. And the folks at stove edge are some of the happiest employed that ever lifted a spatula. Arrive hungry and leave with one foot in paradise. Enjoy!!!

The bbq meat is fantastic. The brisket was tender yet stayed together meaning it wasn't overcooked. The bbq sauces were kept warm in a dispenser similar to a coffee urn. I thought this was a very nice touch. Service was quick. Coleslaw was boring and tasteless

Fried okra was great. Baked beans were OK. Smoked half chicken was good. No Brunswick do you? As it makes sense. Plasticware when trying to cut chicken? Doesn’t make sense. Price was good facility was OK. Server/cashier barely smiled? I will definitely have to give it another shot. It seems that their ratings are better than my experience.

The variety, taste and service are all up to par and staff are smiling and friendly. Top tries that didn't disappoint were the brisket, turkey and ribs. All super tasty.

Overpriced, and honestly, it's not that great. I would have given it three stars, but the service was slow, and my chicken was pink in the middle. Your better off getting some good old-school Popeyes or KFC .

Our family loves this bbq. The sweet and tangy is our favorite. I love their chicken wings and the shredded pork sandwich. It is big enough to have some the next day.

I ordered ribs and chicken combo. The sauce was excellect and the ribs were good the dark meat chicken was tough. The coleslaw was okay but the mac and cheeze was not good.
