We stopped by the Castaway Beach Bar and Grill. Very sad as their last day open. You could tell in their heyday the hotel and restaurant were a fun place to hang out. Right on the beach. We just had a drink.

Trip was very last minute. 40 family members were a mile down the road. Room was very outdated. Carpet was so dirty and sticky that I told my family not to walk barefoot in the room. bathroom was clean and room smelled clean. Tiki bar was very nice. Limited but reasonable lunch menu. Pool small but clean. All rooms ocean front and have a great view of the beach.Parking: Outside parking in front of hotel.

Perfect tiki bar for going to the beach and walking up to get a bucket of alcohol/strawberry daiquiris and a shot or two before heading back onto the beach ? bartenders are always chill as well.

Okay it may look a bit sketchy from the beach, but don't fear it. Live music, buckets of drinks, fish tacos and burgers, corn hole, and a free pool open to the public. Oceanfront too! I will say the beer I had wasn't ice cold but the retired NJ police officer now restaurant manager iced one up for me. Customer service was awesome. There were some nasty looking people, chain smokers on their motel balconies, stoners (I could smell weed), and some real interesting piercings and tattoos. Get here before this North Myrtle Beach landmark is gone. It will be torn down soon and replaced with a Margaritaville. 2025 is projected opening. You can bet the pool won't be open to the public and prices won't be what they are now.

A fun spot with a few things on the menu. Pool is open to customers. Views of the ocean being practically on the beach. A few games to play, some good cocktails and bartenders are all very friendly.My second year hanging out here and I'll be back in a few weeks as well!Smoking allowed at the bar.
This place has potential but our experience was very unpleasant. First is actually getting to the bar, it's in the back of the hotel, with a little iron gate as the entrance way. It's right on the beach so there is the breeze and the sound of the waves crashing...only its dirty. Cigarette buds everywhere and all the tables were nasty. Now onto the service We went and sat at the bar and asked the bartender about any specials and how much the drinks were etc. She was very rude and just laughed at my friend when she asked how much it was for a double. She gave us our drinks then ignored us the entire time.(was too busy talking to 4 guys) When it was time to pay she told us it was 14 but then the ppl right beside of us got the same stuff and it was 10. When asked about it she was like oh yeah it's only 10. Unacceptable. Will not be returning

We stopped in from the beach for a drink and a break from the sun. The waitress was awesome and the pretzel was amazing. The whole family enjoyed! They accept Apple Pay so we didn’t have to go back for our wallet. Great atmosphere & friendly service. Definitely recommend!

Fun spot to lounge around and get some sun! It's a very close distance to a lot of great food (breakfast joints all the way through a late night Irish pub) and the onsite food and drinks on site were also great. Rooms are very low end and amenities are limited, but it's a cheap way to stay on the beachfront.
