The food was delicious and the service was excellent also. I really loved that they support autism.

Food was good. Service was really good and overall impacted this rating more than the food.

The food here is so good as is the service. The waffles are perfect, they were fluffy on the inside and crisp on the outside. The chicken tenders were fried perfectly and seasoned well. The service was fast and friendly. The bacon was real bacon not the really cheap tasting horrible bacon. The grits were good as well they were real grits not the instant grits. I would definitley come here again for breakfast.

Listen! For this establishment to be as packed and busy as it was. There was no drop off in service Nor customer service. The food what's prepared just as advertised and pictures on menu which the menu in itself is one of a kind. Food was A1! My Server "Ms. Paige" was very efficient, patient and professional for multiple large parties at once, in which I can't speak for everyone else but her hospitality was the icing on the cake for my family's experience! Trust me this restaurant is worth the wait!

Let me tell you, the wait rumors had me worried! Based on other reviews, I was bracing for a brunch battle royale, but for weekday, our party of 4 only waited 15 minutes. You can't put your name down ahead of time, but they take your number and text you when your table's ready. Big win for not hovering by the door! While we waited, we chilled at the picnic tables outside. Sunshine and good vibes all around. Now, about the food: Totally worth the wait! Everything tasted fresh and made-to-order. I didn't notice the veggie omelet didn't come with cheese, but no worries because the veggies we so tasty by themselves. The waffles were fluffy and tasty (the red velvet was super yummy) and the yellow grits? OMG. I almost added cheese, but I'm SO glad I didn't. They were some of the best I've ever had, bursting with flavor on their own. The only thing that wasn't a home run were the pancakes. We like ours light and fluffy, and these were a bit denser. Still flavorful, though! Overall, a good spot for brunch.

Ate there March 30, 2024. First time eaters from out of state for vacation. Overall: Food was good. Service was good. Staff were welcoming and kind. Place was clean. The Wallet: Breakfast for a family of 4 it was around $80 including tip. You could easily spend more than $100. Average breakfast menu price $15. Low $10, high $20. Cons: You can't remove an ingredient from your dish. Per our server head chef/owner didn't allow me to not have tomatoes because it allegedly changes the taste of the dish. This could pose a problem with food allergies or sensitivities. Pancakes were nice looking but "meh." They're pancakes nothing special. Would I come back? Yes. Get there before breakfast rush otherwise you'll wait a while.

I came back to Mrytle Beach almost a year later and knew I needed to return to Johnny D's. While this wasn't the same location I went to the first time, the second didn't disappoint. We were seated quickly and the service was great. The churro French toast was still delicious as ever and the banana split waffle while messy was still good. Whenever income to Mrytle beach, Johnny D's is the spot for me.

Their food is very good on this day the waitress didn't let us get in our seat good before she was at the table asking us will be ready to make a order which was kind of irritating but it was good service. They have so much order from you that you can't go wrong here.

This is a nice breakfast spot. Our server was great. She gave some good recommendations. The food is pretty good. They have great French fries (I love fries!) the ambiance was a normal breakfast place. It's worth a try
