The last time I went to painter's ice cream in North Myrtle Beach it has appeared to have changed hands. I bought two ice cream cones and was charged $143.65 I happen to notice the receipt before the new guy could put it away because they don't hand them back to you. I stopped him and said I think I seen 140 some dollars on that receipt, he replied oh no it was Right nothing was wrong. I said we'll get that receipt back out here and let me look at it, he looked funny in the face and said well you must have hit the wrong buttons when you put the amount in. I told him I had nothing to do with the amount that was put in we could not control that he did. So he refunded the money back on my debit card. You guys be careful if you buy ice cream at painters simply because of the fact if you swipe your card and do not get a receipt and then later find out you were charged way too much it would be too late for you to go back and try to get your money back, make sure you check your receipts and ask for a copy. I also do not like the new guys attitude it was not friendly at all even to other people standing there.

I just went to original painters ice cream in north Myrtle beach I tried the tres leches ice cream and it was amazing. There also so many different flavors to choose from. I was surprised they had this kind of ice cream. The workers there are so friendly and welcoming I will be coming back everyday during the

I have been coming to Painters for over 40 years. I am native To North Carolina and have probably visited painters over 100 times in my life. We also own property so we come down a lot on the weekends. Painters used to be awesome and was for many decades. Something for some reason has drastically changed since the pandemic began.The last owner was a psycho, and I understand it has recently been sold to new owners. I was just there the other day and the staff was rude is all get up not the same feeling that I have gotten in years and decades past.They can lie all they want to. It AINT The same kind of ice cream that made them famous. It is not the same taste, or texture.Painters that we all knew and loved for decades ago is gone. The taste and experience from years ago is also gone.They even got rid of the old wooden benches that faced 17.This place now sucks

Ice cream has no taste. I got the avalanche with peanut butter cups mixed in and they were mushy and stale. $675 to boot. Go to the supermarket and buy yourself a gallon which will taste better and cost less. Never again.

New owner not nearly as friendly, no posted prices, definitely not same quality ice cream, small servings and high prices. 3 single serve ice cream cups without any toppings was $17.50. Also no sample allowed before purchase which most good ice cream stores allow. Time to try a new place.

I have been coming here for years and love their ice cream. Painter's is friendly and tasty. They have many choices and options. It always reminds me of my childhood, and I have many fond memories of gathering together with my family to enjoy a cool treat on a hot day or night. I highly recommend Painter's over any other homemade ice cream establishment!

Best homemade ice cream on the beach. I've been taking my kids and friends there for over ten yrs. If you're ever in North Myrtle Beach, you gotta try their banana pudding ice cream it's amazing.

Ice cream was not very flavorful (icy milk?) we had expected much more for homemade ice cream. We had requested to sample one flavor for our daughter and were told they don't do samples. Also no napkins given and no napkins available outside. Servers were not flat out rude but were definitely not friendly either. Nothing to write home about wouldn't go back.
