If you’re basing the restaurant off of appearance, don’t. The restaurant looks way better inside than outside. The food was delicious and the service was made to be a great experience as the waitresses were kind to us.

I absolutely love Tidewater Grill. The entire staff is amazing the the food is always great. The winter specials cannot be beat and having them in the neighborhood is so convenient and the burger is fresh ground in house and is a must try for any burger lover.

Yesterday was our 2nd lunch visit. Our 1st,about 2 weeks ago did not go well (Fried oysters that were either refried or way over fried. We thought we'd give them a 2nd chance. My wife ordered soup. She said it was okay. I ordered breaded flounder, because I had witnessed a woman served a large, lightly breaded and lightly fried fillet flounder that looked inviting. I was served 2 smaller fillets that were heavily breaded and way overcooked. We are calling it quits on this place. It's too bad, because the service is very good and the restaurant is just 2 miles from our home.

Went for dinner to give the place a try and ordered the seafood platter and grilled salmon. The salmon came with a salad that was just ok. The seafood platter was way overcooked and very greasy. The chips that came with it were cold and hard. The salmon we sent back because it tasted freezer burnt even though they said it was supposed to be fresh. Worst salmon I’ve ever had. The rice was crunchy as well. They offered me something else so I tried the chicken salad which was ok but again the chips were cold and hard. The tea also tasted like instant tea. I wouldn’t go back again because I don’t mind “bar” food but bad food isn’t acceptable. They obviously have a local crowd that maybe have found options they can tolerate but with so many other dining options in the area that are way better you will be better off spending your money somewhere else.

I was very disappointed. After all the rave reviews from others I gave it a try . I thought for sure the lobster roll would be good. I was wrong. The roll was stale, not grilled properly and the lobster was flavorless.It's something I order a lot so I have lots of experience. Won't go back. Not interested in experimenting.

Had to get takeout. Black and blue salad with steak was great, steak cooked perfectly. Also had Tidewater Burger, tasty and big. Enjoyed the dinner.
