I'm actually a little confused by the extremely low rating this place currently has. I think if you appreciate this place for what it is at it's core (good, affordable Japanese takeout), then it's actually a pretty good find. The restaurant space itself is nothing special (and honestly not that great). There is a good amount of seating if you want to dine in, and if you have seats by the windows that let in natural light, it's actually not too bad. The florescent lighting is awful and there's a large television that is usually playing too loudly (so anyone who can be overstimulated by such things should keep that in mind before coming here). I personally would opt for takeout from this place, as the food is really affordable and pretty dang good for the price point. I order one thing and only one thing here: the teriyaki chicken bowl (rice + teriyaki chicken) covered with white sauce. Under $10, it's really generously portioned and comes out fresh and delicious every time I've ordered it. The staff is friendly and are usually working their asses off with a small team, so be prepared to wait for at least 10-15 minutes for your food if you order at the counter.

Food was gross. I am not sure what kind of chicken was used but they need to find a new supplier. The rice , vegetables and chicken all tasted the same. There was One person working so he did the best he could all by himself. Ambiance was non existent and the outdoor seating had rusted tables and the chairs were falling apart. I am positive they can do better!

I am not a tourist. I stopped here and ordered shrimp, tempura, and a salad with ginger dressing. And some other things. It was really horrible, the temperature batter was yellow in color and very greasy. The ginger dressing was a joke, it literally tasted like someone grated ginger in a container. I would suggest they go to a real hibachi and try the ginger dressing. The other things we ordered were edible at best. I was starving and this was the most horrible meal. I have ever eaten in North Myrtle Beach.

This was a pleasant surprise! I was unsure based on the low rating, so glad I gave them a try! The food was hot delicious and plentiful! I had chicken and steak mom had the teriyaki chicken! Both of us were so pleased! Totally delicious! I would definitely eat here again and would not hesitate to recommend it to others!

6:00 Tuesday....I ordered hibachi steak & chicken. The cook mistakenly put some shrimp with the steak instead of chicken. The guy at the register checked the to go box and started to carry it to the back (out of sight). I had watched my order being prepared. I kept telling him it was ok, I would take it. When I got home, he had put some nasty, pre-cooked, tough teriyaki chicken on my plate. I don't Ever order teriyaki! Just don't care for the sweet glaze. My plate would have been fine, even with the first mistake but he compounded the error by putting something i didn't even order on my plate.

I ordered a hibachi filet and shrimp plate and a side house salad. The salad was a regular to go box full of lettuce and a small amount of cucumbers and carrots. 1 cup of ranch came with it, and with a plate that size it should’ve at least been two. I asked for my steak to be cooked medium and it was very well done instead. The only reason I’m rating this four stars is because the flavor where everything else about the hibachi plate was delicious, the well done steak just caught me off guard.

Very pricey and not good, and their yum-yum sauce is very bitter and odd tasting, also was kind of pricy for very mediocre food.
