My boyfriend and I had an incredible experience dining at Nonna Rosa! We arrived quite late in the evening and even though they were prepping to close they didn’t hesitate to seat and serve us. We started with the fried calamari and the burrata, and let me tell you this calamari was prepared PERFECTLY!! It wasn’t chewy in the slightest, it had a buttery texture and the breading was flaky and perfectly seasoned. The burrata was amazing as well, it was super fresh and creamy. For our entrees I ordered the rigatoni ala vodka and my boyfriend ordered their special which was a seafood pasta dish and they were both DELICIOUS, I’m a stickler for vodka sauce (which is seemingly hard to find in this area) and I could tell theirs is authentic and homemade. The desserts were also top tier, their cheesecake is one of the best I’ve ever had & my boyfriend was raving about the chocolate mousse cake he ordered. Between the wonderfully accommodating and friendly staff and the amazing food I cannot recommend this spot enough, if you’ve been looking for an authentic Italian restaurant with impeccable service LOOK NO FURTHER! Excellent food, superior service and relaxed atmosphere ! Our waiter offered a variety of options to the dishes we ordered and he was spot on with his suggestions. We loved it and would go back anytime we vacation in the Hilton Head area in the future.

We dined in at Nona Rosa , we are new to Hardeeville S.C. Unfortunately my meal was not good, order Chicken Lemone..the chicken was 2 small pieces that looked like they boiled them. No flavor at all. My husband's meal rigatoni alavodka was just OK. Disappointing meal all around.When our check came my Husband questioned why there were two additional charges on the bill. One charge was called a "Hospitality charge the other a "Liquor" charge. We both had a drink. These amounted to an additional charge of nine dollars on our billWe never understood the reason as they hit us with "double talk as to why they can't omit this charge, the Manager then offers my husband 10 dollars in cash. We left saying this place is ripping people off..No other restaurant we have eaten in here, charges This! The quality of their Italian food is very lackingWe will just never eat there again! But I did want to warn people about those " charges"

DO NOT GO! Took and hour to get our food. The bus server spilled oil all over my Louis Vitton and then the owner Pepe comes out (not sure for what) and not only does he not apologize but tells me "Unless you want to buy my business, I will run it the way that I want". Can you believe? The poor bar tender was running around waitressing and bussing tables (who by the way is a doll).

We were a little worried about going after we read the reviews. They seemed like they were all over the place. However, we are glad we went. Service was perfect and fast. The Italian rolls with garlic olive oil were amazing. My husband makes similar bread and these seemed homemade. Our entrees were great - we had everything from snapper and mussels, to fettuccine…and we enjoyed it all. The portions for my husband and I were perfect, but my teenage daughters left a little hungry (hard to fill up teenagers!) Going out to eat is always surprisingly expensive, but we would go here again!Vegetarian options: Several vegetarian pasta dishes for my vegetarian teenagers.

We were a party of four on the 19th. We were all calls sitting where we were. We asked the waitress if she could put the heat on. three different times her response was the boss said no we are new to Sun City. We enjoyed our meal, but unfortunately we will not come back because of that experience, and we will surely tell most of our new neighbors that moved in with us about this.

Horrible experience. Spent 2 hours to get salad and lasagna. Salad was good. Lasagna tasted like a reheated 5 day old meal. Had to get up to ask for water, to ask when our meal was coming, to ask for check, and to ask for a box. At the end of the meal, the bartender asked us if we wanted red wine. I asked if it came with the meal. She said , “no.” If I wanted wine I would have ordered it when I arrived. There were a total of 3 tables being used. This is not a restaurant with the customer in mind. Then we were over charged. Think twice before eating here.Parking: Very few people at restaurant so lots of parking!
