I went in today 02/20/2024 around 5:40 pm to order the same drink I get at minimum once a week (a grande cold brew in a venti cup with 2 pumps vanilla 5 pumps sugar free vanilla and extra splash 3/4 oat milk). I have ordered this drink the same way for YEARS through the app and in person. When you order a cold brew you are allowed a milk or milk substitute for free as it’s included into the price. In the drive thru a guy named Jacob (told me he was the manager) told me he was going to be charging me because I wanted the “extra splash” measuring 3/4 of the way oat milk. He was going to charge me almost $1 more for the drink. He claims that anything past the normal amount of milk product they use is an additional charge. He literally sat there and argued with me through the menu board saying it’s been their policy for years. It is not the policy. I called corporate and was informed I’m correct. The app even allows you to do 3/4 oat milk with no charge! My friends work for Starbucks and told me I’m correct. Dealing with this situation made me late for class because he literally refused to correct his mistake. He told me “you can either get the normal amount of milk or pay the $1 for the amount you want, so what do you want?”. He was EXTREMELY rude and condescending. I pulled to the parking area and ordered my drink on the app WHERE I WAS NOT CHARGED EXTRA, and stood at the door while he pointed to the order and giggled and talked about it to his coworker thinking it’s so funny. When I walked up to the register after getting off the phone with corporate he completely avoided me. I also asked him in the drive thru for the name of someone above him and he said the only thing I could do is call corporate, as if he doesn’t have a general manager or something. I am beyond frustrated that not only was he incorrect, rude, made me late for class, lied to me, but also that he made it a bad environment. I go to this location MULTIPLE times a week to study and get coffee and everyone has always been sooo unbelievably kind so I don’t know what Jacob’s problem is but he needs to be trained on the correct policies, the menu, and how to handle his attitude. Included is a photo of the app (which corporate determines prices of) showing that there is no fee for the oat milk. (I did have to do it as the before location so price is cheaper due to tax because the Okatie Hwy location was closed when I went to show it on the app)EDIT: I originally gave this location 1 star due to this instance however, the manager Deanna spoke with me in person and over the phone and was AMAZING. She listened, cared, and sympathized with me. She explained that I am in fact correct and he was not. She apologized profusely and was kind enough to give me a free coffee when I came in to talk to her! For this, I am upping my stars to a 4 because the staff who works there was so kind. Obviously this guy Jacob, who is not usually there, needs some serious work.

Rarely go to Starbucks at all, but once in a while, it's good. This particular store is surprisingly big inside. There is almost always a bit of a line in the drive-through lane. I prefer ordering on the app and then just stepping inside to pick it up. I'm not much of a coffee drinker. I get the Frappuccino - coffee or the new one that's chocolate and strawberry. The coffee cake and the lemon pound cake are very good. Order was ready as promised.

Service at the register was adequate. My chai latte tasted watery, even though I paid for a double shot. Definitely didn't taste the way it does at other stores.

They were pretty busy. The line moved fast and they got my order right. So that matters.

Nice Starbucks but they ignored the instructions to put 1 pump of sweetener rather than 4. And that ridiculous when I’m getting charged $8 for a drink and I can’t even drink it now because it’s so sweet. I have diabetes so it’s not optional.

The girl working the drive thru today was so nasty. I understand that it’s the holiday season and everyone is tired, but you work in customer service girl. You don’t get to yell at people in the drive thru because they need a moment to decide (also if it matters nobody was behind this lady in the line either) and for all your little coworkers standing behind you laughing I hope you all get in trouble to be honest. I definitely won’t be going back to Starbucks which sucks because I’ve made it a habit of going almost everyday, but I’m not putting my money into little girls that still think it’s okay to bully people. As for the service you gave me it was also terrible. I’m not an easily agitated person, but you really need to work on how you talk to customers. Honestly. You should be fired. You’re doing nothing, but losing tips for the people that are actually doing the hard stuff like making the drinks. You’re standing at a register it’s not that hard to be pleasant in a 2 minute interaction.

Whoever that girl was working the window today needs to be fired. She's losing tips for all the other employees. There was a car behind me in the drive through line and the woman asked for a moment to decide and the employee in a nasty ass tone goes "maybe you should pull back around and decide. I have a line behind you...." There were no cars behind her. You work in customer service and you aren't doing a very great job. Everytime I go to Starbucks I tip anywhere from $5-$10 and I asked for my quarter back today. As for the employees that weren't working the window. Standing in the back laughing at your coworker being an asshole to the customers doesn't do anything for you either. I could see if there was a reason for her to be snippy and rude, but the customer didn't deserve it at all. I ordered two bakery items and two drinks and you could hear the annoyance in this girls tone. If you don't wanna work, quit. There are plenty of people who would like your job. All around not a great experience, I think I'm done with Starbucks.
