I love the food. Kind of pricey.

Only place I've found thus far for authentic Mexican food in Orangeburg. Easy to miss. Tacos are great . Even better are the fried tortillas covered with meat, lettuce, and cheese on the second page of the menu, bottom right hand corner.

My first favorite Mexican food. We come to Orangeburg every year and I stop here for other dinner options.

Was driving through after buying a new Honda Accord in Charleston, SC (long story, but Alex at Stokes Honda North was great). Saw the place while cutting over to I-20, and did an immediate u-turn. I was the only Anglo in the place, which is usually a good sign that it's legit. I too, used to live in So Cal (almost 20 years) and this place is the real deal for food. It's small-time, understaffed, and only takes cash. Great, homemade, thick chips and chunky salsa; not like the crappy Tex-Mex stuff I find in the DFW area where I live. I had the soft tacos a la carte - two carne asada, and one carnitas. They were delicious. Don't come here if you are looking for great ambiance, great service (I think the lady helping me is an owner, cook, cashier, and waitress) or a memorable "experience". But if you want good, authentic Mexican food at an extremely reasonable price, this is a good place to go.

Food was OK. Only take cash. Cashier offered my friend weight loss supplements which was very rude and unwarranted. Wouldn't recommend.

Very clean and food was delicious. The home made pineapple water and the horchata were delicious! We had steak tacos, torta, and Mulita. The Mulitas where my favorite.

These guys run a food truck in Columbia also that's on Highway 1 across the street from The Hobby Lobby. This is hands down the most authentic Sonoran Mexican food I've had in Columbia. I eat here several times a week. The mulitas are amazing!

Had stopped in with my best friends for a quick meal was really disappointed in the service the waitress was having to do some sort of phone cards while we SAT and waited 20 minutes for tea. We finally got served at hour and a half later but the food was sub par..and the next day I was sick . although I can't prove the food made me sick. I am from San Diego and I'm quite familiar with authentic Mexican food and believe me this food was not authentic. Of course it's been about a year since I've visited there maybe hopefully the food has gotten better I don't know

Wow! I am SoCal born & raised - we miss delicious authentic Mexican food, stopped here based on the reviews esp. the couple SoCal people reviews, and this was - our experience anyway - neither authentic nor delicioso. I had a lengua burrito (which was listed as the kind where only the meat is inside & everything else is sitting on top - not my cup of tea, so I asked her to put everything inside, nothing on top/hand-held, and to add cilantro & onions to it). When it arrived it was SUPER small - like a child's size burrito off the children's menu, literally. No cilantro inside. Small tortilla with a couple tomatoes & onions & shreds of lettuce. And the lengua was in ultra-finely minced cubes(!) & hardly any in it. Authentic? California? I don't think so!! Hubby got 3 tacos which were nothing great comparably, but were decent. Sons shared a chicken burrito with rice & beans - tasted theirs & was pretty flavorless. Daughter got sopa de pollo (chicken soup) (which did have cilantro so know they have some in the restaurant lol! ;)). It seemed lacking a lot, & not much flavor. Asked for hot sauces & both green & red we're pretty watery & bland... Considering a child's plate is $3.50 and comes with extra sides & a drink, my child's size burrito should have been $3. It was $6. Service was reeeeeally slow, and it wasn't too busy either... This was a Friday at prime lunch time. We were not attended to too much & was very hard/slow to track down a waitress. They're just a small place & a nice family I'm sure, so I don't want to slam them too hard... Yet I think 5 stars & the "California" thing is a clear & utter misrepresentation of this restaurant and want people to be aware. Oh, also cash only. No credit/debit cards. And parking is extremely limited. Oh, also, it took an extreeemely long time for our food to arrive. Seemed as if they only had one cook. We were all super hungry by the time it finally came! Best to call it in early if you're going to eat here.

No, there is not something wrong with your ears. That chorus of heavenly voices that you hear when you enter exists. You have discovered true, authentic Mexican food. The only reason more five star reviews do not exist is because those who have dined here have left this plane of existence for a higher one. I'm from Southern California. I've been dying for a real tamale. I finally found it. I now live in Atlanta. Driving from there just fr these tamales is worth it. Stop here if you want to eat great Mexican food.
