This is our new sushi and Thai place in Myrtle Beach. It's a bit 'out of the way' in comparison to the central beach location, but well worth the short drive for the consistent quality of this place over the more popular places near downtown. The sushi is fresh, has great flavor, and I love the rice. My husband has enjoyed every Thai dish he has tried. He gets the curry, and has not been disappointed. He has yet to try the Pad Thai, but it's on his list. The owner is friendly and accommodating, and does her best to answer any and all questions.

10/10 recommend We were first time customers here and we have to say we were very satisfied!! We read a few reviews online and got made us skeptical but we decided to give it a shot. The owner was the sweetest! My friend and I were debating the super myrtle beach roll because one of us didn't like cream cheese and the owner heard us discussing and offered to make the roll half with cream cheese and half without. Needless to say it wasn't a busy night so she had time but it was an incredible roll tailored to what we wanted (as you can see in the photo). We also shared a sashimi appetizer which was fresh and delicious and the pad woon sein entree. The portions were generous and delicious and we really enjoyed our time there.

Used to be a fantastic sushi spot. Not sure if it is under new ownership or if there have been changes in management, but I returned for the first time in several months last week and it was one of the worst dining experiences I've had. I should have probably realized that this restaurant was not what it used to be when I walked in during dinner time on a Saturday night and I was the only customer there. The waitress assumed that I was ordering/picking up a to-go order and seemed genuinely confused/surprised when I told her that I was dining in. I ordered one sushi roll and she started ranting about how "it might be about five extra minutes because the sushi chef had to leave because she left her cat in the car and the windows were down and her cat may have escaped so she had to go find it." 15 minutes later, no sushi. The waitress came back and offered me a bowl of miso soup on the house while I waited. This was fine except that then they had no miso soup and she said it would be a few minutes while they made a fresh batch. 20 minutes after my arrival, I finally got a cup of miso soup. Then the sushi chef came around the corner and asked if I had been helped....she had no idea that I had ordered sushi 20 minutes ago. Apparently the waitress never told her. Unless she went fishing for the ingredients herself, there is no reason why I should have spent an hour waiting for one sushi roll at a restaurant where I was the only customer. When the waitress finally brought my sushi, she started rambling and then said something like "sorry I tend to go on and on about stupid details when I get nervous." To top it all off, I was stuck on the toilet at home having diarrhea the rest of the evening. I've been eating sushi for years and this has never happened. I feel bad leaving a review like this about a place that used to be a favorite of mine but I feel obligated to encourage others to go elsewhere in Pawleys Island for sushi.

Service was horrible and we were there for over 2 hours. Not worth the wait for low grade sushi.

My son and I stopped here as Pad Thai is one of his favorite dishes. The food was exceptional! My son loved the Pad Thai and the California rolls. I had the Peanut Sauce (that's the name of the entree) with tofu. The vegetables and tofu were so fresh! The waitress was delightful but also newly hired. This could explain why we didn't get our appetizer before our entrees. That's the only reason I didn't give them 5 stars. I'm bringing my friends there for dinner next week. Definitely worth a try in my opinion. We dined at the Pawleys Island location.

I order takeout from Indo about once a month, and the food is always delicious :) I'm a creature of habit, so I always get the chicken Pad Thai, medium spice. I also get miso soup and salad with ginger dressing, all of which I LOVE!! My husband is more adventurous and has tried a lot of different entrees, both Thai & Japanese, all of which he has enjoyed. If you are staying in the area or passing through, I highly recommend!!

This place is great! The service was a bit slow, but the food was awesome! The sushi was good, the pad Thai was good, the soups were good, and the hibachi was good. The staff was very warm and nice and I would come here again next time I'm near Myrtle Beach. I highly recommend this place.

After cruising around trying to decide where to eat, my friends and I decided to eat at the IndoThai restaurant. I did not realize that the Indo means Indonesias, so I was pleasantly surprised since I am from Indonesia. It was early for dinner, we just arrived from watching the total eclipse in Georgetown and traffic was bad. It was nice cool in the restaurant and the restaurant was decorated very nicely with Indonesian items. One of my friends knew immediately what she wanted. Rendang. She asked if it is hot. Not too hot was the answer. Her husband, a vegan, ordered some salad, making sure that it did not have any eggs nor seafood, nor meat. I do not remember what it was. After asking all kinds of questions that the waitress explained patiently, comparing with another fried chicken, I ordered a whole fried chicken. The portions were big, and we shared some of the food, and even took quite a bit back to the hotel. The rendang was good, not as dry as when I make it, but a lot dryer than kalio. But most important: the taste was excellent and authentic rendang. My fried chicken was delicious and crispy. My non-vegan friend and I thoroughly enjoyed both dishes, I also had a taste of my vegan friend's salad, and it was good and fresh, with crunchy fresh vegetables, and too spicy for me --. I also asked the waitress if the owner and chef was Indonesian. When she said yes, I ask her if I could meet her. She was nice and we chatted a bit, sometimes speaking Indonesian, forgetting that my friends did not understand Indonesian, since they looked Indonesian, but they are from the Philippines and Vietnam. So that was a very pleasant surprise, finding a good Indonesian restaurant in Myrtle Beach! When I go back to Myrtle Beach, I will definitely eat there again!--- I thought we were in the Myrtle Beach of IndoThai restaurant, but we were in Pawleys Island. Sorry for the error. I will look for the Myrtle Beach location when I go back to South Carolina, it was a very long drive----I certainly would visit either one.

The service was extremely slow, the waitress did not speak english and could not or would not bring the correct order. The Hot Tea was luke warm, The Miso soup was just warm and tasteless. I would never go back.

I waited far too long to try this place. Everything was fantastic! Tom ka kai soup is everything it should be and more! Sushi was fresh and delicious. Tai basil chicken was plate lickable. Pad Thai was mild and flavorful. Service was perfect and all taken care of by the chef and owner. I would recommend this place in a heartbeat! Love it I will be back!

Green papaya salad is delicious . Jade is an amazing server, good listener, great recommendations. Felt like I was eating dinner with my neighbor. Decent atmosphere, with subdued lighting. Lots of parking. Beer and wine list.

Heard about this place from a family member and thought I should try it out. Foods that were order were... Pad See Ew Pad Thai Sizzling Duck Papaya salad Chicken wings Fresh rolls Sushi: crazy roll, spider roll Hibachi steak and shrimp Thai tea First of all, I specifically asked the waiter how the duck was cooked since it was an expensive dish of about $25+ and he said it was "half a duck" over a bed of fresh veggies. The duck was overcooked to the point where it almost had the consistency as beef jerky. The portion size was none like what the waiter had said. There were literally 4 small pieces of overcooked meat over the steamed broccoli and carrots. I could not tell it was duck at all and I eat duck on a weekly basis. It didn't have the gamy taste like it should. There were more veggies than meat and then there was the rice. It was not white rice and it had a strange smell to it. Come on, this is supposed to be an Asian fusion restaurant combining Indonesian, Thai, and Japanese food. I could not swallow the rice at all. When the foods arrived, it came in such an order that about when the main entree arrived, I was already done with the restaurant. Thai tea came out not tasting like Thai tea at all. I guess they ran out of "half and half" and decided to use coconut milk. There were little coconut clumps in my drink and it was so thick and nutty that it wasn't even Thai tea. If they didn't have half and half, they should have said they ran out and I could have ordered some other drink. After 30 minutes of waiting, the first appetizer arrived. Fresh rolls were about $8 for 2 rolls of lettuce, carrots, avocado, and a thin strip of imitation crab. Was too little for the price. They said it was 4 spring rolls but actually just 2 cut in halves. Another 10 minutes rolls around and they bring out the wings. TBH, the wings were the only edible foods they brought out...although, they were slightly burnt. Funny thing that foods arrived so slow when we were the only customers and there were 5 of us. The papaya salad finally comes out after a 30 minute wait. Sorry, but it was too lemony. Needed more fish sauce and salt. They claim that the salad only come with one spice level, yet, the three papaya dishes that came out all taste different and had their own levels of spiciness. Finally, after 45 minutes, the sushi came out. The rice was too watery and the consistency of rice to fish was ridiculous. Whoever learned how to make sushi should go back to culinary school because this restaurant has the worst tasting sushi I've ever had and I've had low budget sushi better than Indo Thai. Been waiting an hour for the main entrees to arrive and I was already giving up on the meals. The two Pad Thais came out first...followed by a Pad See Ew and the Hibachi and Sizzling Duck. What a disappointment! Pad Thai was overcooked and the noodles were extremely soggy. The Pad See Ew unfortunately, was under done . Hibachi was bland. Even the friend rice had no seasoning. Then the bill arrived. My bill was $62 (1 person) and the other two bills were $61 (2 ppl) and $68 (2 ppl). Tip was close to $10 each bill. They have already pre tipped 15% gratuity and the waiter only refilled our drinks once during our 90 minute stay. He earned $30 tip for refilling our drinks once. JUST ONCE! Funny that the executive chef even came out to see us. I'm not going to lie, the food was gross and the restaurant should do some reevaluating. There were no customers! I don't even know how they can keep the business running when their foods taste terrible. I will say that the chicken wings (appetizer) was the winning dish of the afternoon. I think this Indonesian Lady should stay away from cooking Thai and Japanese foods just because those dishes were so terrible. I would never eat at this restaurant again. The location I dined in at was in Pawley's Island, South Carolina.

I have been coming here over for the past 8 years and the food is wonderful but the restaurant needs TLC. It's bad when you have to use your napkin as a sweat cloth instead of wiping your mouth. When I asked the waitress to lower the AC she said that it's been like this lately and there was nothing she could do. To bad the place has fallen into disrepair.

I have been to Indo before and it was not my favorite, but I decided to give them another try. I came in and ordered two sushi rolls and my boyfriend ordered hibachi chicken. We had to wait just under an hour for our food. During the wait, we noticed there were flies everywhere. After getting our food, it was decent. But nothing really special. I was finishing up my boyfriends veggies, and noticed a strange texture in them that was almost like eating sand. Bathrooms were very dirty as well. Overall, food isn't that bad after the wait. Wouldn't recommend really for a great sushi place.
