Local is The Spot! Craft beers from the Carolinas and some damn good food. They almost always have some events going on as well be it live music, trivia, or even drag brunches if thats your cup of tea. Do yourselves a favor and eat Local!Vegetarian options: Fried Rice with Tofu or Street Tacos are my favorite dishes. Truthfully though I've never ate something here I didn't enjoy!

My husband and I found this place online. We went to it cuz it had great reviews. The Greek salad was great. It was obvious that the greens and veggies were very fresh. We had the sweet potato hash which was obviously rewarmed many times. The blackened mahi fish was overcooked. They had live music which was a nice touch. Also, lovely setting of the restaurant.

I don't get down to Pawleys Island often, but this spot will be on regular rotation from now on. Terrific, tasty menu items and awesome service with a locals feel.

The menu is all over the place and kind of strange but everything was yummy.

I cannot say enough about this restaurant! The food was delicious and the staff was SO friendly. Even the chef came out of the kitchen to see if our meals were satisfactory. This place is a must stop in Pawleys.

It looks like this would be a small, quaint place from the looks of it but it's actually really big inside with a lot of seating in multiple spaces! The service was top notch and the food was very good. Live music was an added surprise.

Went for brunch . Outstanding service and the food was great! We did have reservations and noticed the place filling up quickly.

Love this place.. forget about the great food and beautiful building... the folks that work there are fun/funny/smart/kind ..... and any other superlative you can think of that would describe people that you want to spend time with. My only complaint is that we hate to leave when the meal is through.Vegetarian options: Rice/tofu/vegies... etc.Parking: Easy parking in a beautiful settingKid-friendliness: They have a dining room just for families.. it is big and spacious and very nice.

Local does it all well. Wonderful food and drinks. Relaxing atmosphere. The best part is the staff. They provide excellent service while being down to earth. They do a fantastic job with their special events like new years. Highly recommend!

Decided to try Local for Thanksgiving and after the initial changes made, the food was good. We made the reservations and were under the impression fresh m our reservation that it would be a family style meal. The restaurant decided no, it would not be family style but a plate. That was fine, less Thanksgiving-ish but ok. The food was good, the green bean casserole was more chewy green beans with French fried onions which the southerners at our table left uneaten, but you can't please everyone. Cranberry Sauce was very bitter, but still okay. As to dessert, it was not included in the "Thanksgiving dinner" but was separate. An order was placed that took quite some time to arrive and was delivered by a server who chose to argue about how long it took to arrive. Fifteen minutes for pre-made peaches with a crumble and ice cream is quite a while, when you are waiting. All in all the company was good, the service was mediocre and not accounting for the changes made to the menu that we were unaware of, the food was good. Would I go again next year, don't think so.
