Food was good and fresh but service was poor at best. Our server brought our drinks and walked away. After about 20 minutes, watching our waiter walk around, another waitress asked if we had been waited on, took our order and left. After our food was delivered, our original waiter asked if we needed anything, my drink was empty so I asked for another drink which never materialized. I will probably not return, too many choices to need to endure poor service.

Really good place. Everything is solid. Not giving it 5 stars because the bar is set pretty high for Mexican Restaurants. I like the salsa bar, that is a great option. Plenty of staff and they're very attentive.

I went to Vaqueros last night about 7:00. We ate outside; the service was fast and friendly. I had La Favorita. Shrimp and fish and vegetables were cooked perfectly and fresh. We especially enjoyed sampling the salsa bar which had something for every spice palate. We will definitely go back!

Best and most authentic Mexican food we’ve found in the Clemson area. Mari (server) deserves 10 stars! She took all the time we needed to answer questions about Guadalajara style cooking and even shared her soup recipe. Food and drink here is excellent and the salsa bar is a nice feature too.
