“The chick stew was to perfection!! The hush puppies, slaw, sweet potato souffle & beans were delicious. All employees were very nice, were busy cleaning or taking orders. The flooring has been professionally cleaned & the ceiling repaired & painted. It's not the Holdens from previous reviews. Holdens got a makeover & your feet will not stick to the floor now, all tables are clean & that's the 1st thing I noticed, how nice the dining area looked. The chick stew was great!!!Just need a larger sign stating you're open.“

“Pleasantly surprised by this place. Seems to be a favorite of the local gray heads, and I agree with them. Meat oaf was great, even if they did coat it with ketchup . "Creamed" potatoes were a little on the dry side. Yeast roll was great. Kind of a quirky place, but nice vibes. Really packed them in and we were lucky to be seated right away. Food came out quick and hot. Never got a refill on my sweet tea. Lemon pie was quite good. Pleasant surprise on the bill. Overall, a nice, pleasant experience in southern, plain folk, good food dining. Keeping g this place on my phone. Highly recommend. Our waiter, Luke, was spot on, except for the sweet tea refill.“

“Best place I haves so far in Spartanburg area besides level ten! The cook not sure if he actually went to culinary school but he's got it!! If they let him do his own menu this place can be the talk of the upstate!! Also add goat cheese balls!“

“Another great experience! This time we went and enjoyed brunch. We ordered the chicken and waffles and the shrimp scampi. My shrimp scampi had additional ingredients that I have never experienced before. The taste was absolutely amazing!“

“I cannot stop thinking about the friend chicken from Aunty M. I tried it on my way from Tennesse to South Florida and it was absolutely delicious. I recommend it to anyone in the area. I wish they had more stores without compromising the quality of the food.“
