We just came in from out of town and arrived about 40 minutes before closing, so we were those customers everyone loves to hate. ? Our server was Dewey. He was very kind and patient. His customer service was second to none as he was very attentive to my nephew’s food allergies, even at the time we came in. He provided great recommendations from the menu and the food was delicious!! Compliments to Chef Tony! ?

Very disappointed this time. The Reuben was tough and hardly tasted like corned beef, the sweet potato fries weren't well seasoned, nor hot, and the worst was what used to be my favorite dish with shrimp on top of a grit cake, but it was swimming in oil, the grit cake was overcooked, and the sauce was somehow blah on one side of the plate and sriracha hot on the other.

We had lunch here on vacation, so we've only eaten here once. It's got a great deck overlooking the water. Staff were nice. The food was hit or miss:Yummy! = shrimp tacos, sweet potato fries, colorful & fresh Greek salad! Great!So so = hamburger & fried flounder sandwiches were both too greasy, my kids said even the buns were greasySkip = Frogmore Gumbo basically a bowl of stewed tomatoes (not to be confused with Frogmore Stew)I would definitely come back here for the drinks, the vibe, the patio and the beautiful view, and just be more cautious with the menu.My one complaint would be a "service fee" on our bill. It was $2.25. The waitress said it was for credit cards, however she did not ask me how I was paying before adding it on my bill.

My wife and I have eaten twice at The Foolish Frog, once for dinner and once for lunch. Both times we sat on the open air patio, which we recommend. The patio is dog friendly and the staff are great to provide water for your pup. The view of the marshland from the patio is very enjoyable and at dinner it illuminated by party lights.Parking is somewhat limited but there is additional parking across the busy street.The food is constantly good. The iced tea is good as well. The sweet potato fries are excellent. Prices are reasonable. I would recommend The Foolish Frog when you stay on St Helena Island.Parking: Additional parking across the streetKid-friendliness: Very kid friendly

Had high hopes for this place as it is in a great location. The Caesar salad was drowning in dressing and the gator bites weren’t fully cooked. Couldn’t really eat any of it. Disappointing.
Was looking for a place to grab lunch on our way back from hunting Island beach. Found this place, and I am glad we did! Great little place with great food! I had the taco's special for the day, which was a fried oyster, fried shrimp, and fried flounder taco's. They were absolutely amazing! Definitely recommend anyone passing by this place to stop in!
Had a great brunch experience at the Frog. The Mahi BLT and crab cake Benedict were excellent. Great service as well.

Called in Order. When I arrived at the restaurant I noticed I was over charged for the prices listed on the online menu. The woman ringing the order apologized said she would notify whomever, because I pulled up the online menu so that she could see the prices. She says I need to reduce your bill by 6.00 ok cool. She readjusted the bill once more and only deducted 5. Cool no problem.So I corrected her again. She adjusted the bill again. Arrived home and opened my meal and there was a hair wrapped around the shrimp like it was cooked with the shrimp.I called and notified them. The young woman who answered was pleasant and apologized she offered me to speak with management after being on hold more than 5 minutes. She replied management was not available and she offered me to come and they would re do the meal. I declined. I should of checked the order before departing the restaurant,and the reviews.
