The staff was so friendly and inviting. Had the best time relaxing there with a couple cocktails . Not sure why all the bad reviews but I would definitely go back,

Fish n chips were perfection. Love the view and laid-back atmosphere. Always a must when friends come to visit.

Super chill place with a pretty marsh view. Great casual spot to enjoy a mellow afternoon. Stopped for lunch and the peel and eat shrimp tasted great, soft shell crab was delicious, and the drinks were cold. Server was super nice and parking was fine.

The food was very good but the appetizer usually comes at the beginning of the meal and not the last thing after the entree.

We had the rudest waiter yesterday on the porch. He surely did not want to be there . The he dropped a whole tray of water and became furious !!! Slammed the door several times , did not even sweep up the ice, dangerous !!! Another waiter had to come out and sweep up the ice! The food was not as great as I remember it from the past visits. We came from HHI because I always loved this place. Probably will not return .!!! So disappointed ?

The fried scallops are to die for! Came here for lunch and seriously want to come back for dinner! It's that amazing! Definitely give this place a try.

We went for lunch. I’m sure some people will think it’s just fine, and I didn’t expect much, but I won’t be back. I don’t typically spend a lot going out for lunch but I’m used to far better pub grub than this. It also was dirty. Sticky tables, dirty floor. Filthy bathroom with no working light.

Tried JCT with high hopes for a good meal. The Onion Rings and French Fries were absolutely disgusting! The fryer oil is definitely rancid and probably hasn’t been changed in a long long time! The Shrimp and Grits was VERY bland, lacked any flavor. All the three entrees we ordered were not anywhere close to good…. Not worth the wait or effort.

We went there twice, the first time was absolutely fantastic!! Loved the food but when it came to our bill, the server added the same meal to three different bills, and when confronted got extremely defensive and walked away. Manager came out yelling at our party of 6, ( we spent over $500 ) the server was respectful, but the manager was belligerent and rude. I understand customer service work, as I work in the industry as well. But this was completley unprofessional. I will never be back. Not to mention they added 20% gratuity. It was only 6 of us, and I would not have tipped as much after the treatment received. The manager is completley unprofessional and illegal. They pay off authority figures. Very sketchy!!

We had a disputed bill. We got triple charged for the same meal. When talking to the manager, he was very unhelpful and combative. The server tried to pocket my $40 cash instead of charging it to my bill, after they added an automatic 20% gratuity. The manager started yelling at us and demanding we paid the bills when we had been charged 3 times.

JCT used to be great, both for the relaxed ambiance and food. This visit was awful. Ambivalent server and hostess. No light outside or in the restroom. Dirty. Cold food. Waited an hour for food after ordering. On a bright note, the bartender was friendly and drinks were excellent!

We'd always loved JCT and were eager to return after its closing because of the fire. We'd heard it had gone downhill, but were unprepared. My husband's shrimp was a 4 out of 10 (it's hard to screw up shrimp in Beaufort). My grouper was raw. I sent it back, it came out raw again. (Pink, wet and wobbly). I had a $28 baked potato and dish of slaw. Won't go back.

Nice marsh side eatery with fresh seafood. Catch of the day was blackened snapper but the real star was the buffalo fried shrimp. Tacos were good with blackened mahi but cold flour tortillas were a missed note.
