The amenities card cost $35 plus 12.8% of your rental cost per person for age 13 and above. For a $3500 rental that would be $483 per person for the privilege of going to the pool and the opportunity to eat at their restaurant. Which means a trip off the island to have a meal not prepared at the house. I wish this was listed clearly before we booked the rental because we would have stayed elsewhere. The island itself is beautiful and peaceful. We enjoyed seeing the deer walk around freely.

I stayed at 45 Davis Love the 18-25th of August. I e been coming here for 15 years and hands down the worst place we ever rented . House covered in green mold and housekeeping atrocious . Guest services is helpful but limited as to what they can do

I have been there and my choice is Bermuda Bluff Island on the dock with my blue tooth speaker. Just a hop, skip and a jump from Fripp if you are fortunate enough to live here!

Beautiful Oceanview and watched dolphins play for long periods of time from our deck.Parked the car and cover the whole island by golf cart the whole week.several pools to enjoy including adult pool (very peaceful)and many beach accesses to explore.Freeing newly hatched sea turtles in the evening. Very good food on island andoff the island. Lots of deer that will even come up to your golf cart. Two beautiful golf courses, Would highly recommend checking this out with friends and family!

A little slice of low country heaven in Fripp! Our family used to come to Fripp but stopped going for a few years because we felt the resort was tired and not being properly maintained. We just finished a week long family trip with our extended family and were delighted by all the new changes, and how clean it felt compared to years past, not as tired- and the food is SO much better. They added a food truck at the beach club, they have fresh food grab and go as well. Our kids loved Fripp camp, and we loved family pickle ball, golf and driving the golf carts- which were also new and not gas guzzlers and were not loud like before. Fripp is so family friendly for all ages and we had so much to do for all of us, including grandparents to toddlers. We will definitely be returning next summer.

We have been coming here for years with family and friends. We love the quiet, laid back environment and drive far for it. This summer we arrived and we’re shocked by not only a huge increase in rental fees, but within 24 hours of being here we received a “parking citation” on a golf cart for a sign that has never been there before and was not visible to anyone. For a long time guest, this is unwelcoming and breaks the relaxing feel of the island for us. We are now spending 10% more on island rentals and we’re charged a $50 golf cart citation??? This an other changes are bringing a new “restrictive” feel…

We’ve been going to Isle of Palms for 15 years and decided to try Fripp for a change. The beach is beautiful, the homes are older but nice, and there is abundant wildlife to watch. Deer are everywhere. The third morning after going out to get groceries I was pulled over by island security for doing 35 mph in a 25 mph zone. Deputy Dog wrote me a ticket to pay at the Home Owners association. Likes like a warning would have been due. But no, here’s your fine. I’m spending five figures this week on rent and eating out and they have the nerve to give me a ticket? Meanwhile kids are driving golf carts like mad everywhere. Very welcoming! NOT!!

Lauren made the best frozen drinks ever and was such a joy to talk with! There was no one around because it was a Tuesday in March so we had the place to ourselves. We enjoyed pina coladas, a spiked frappacino and the kids had virgin strawberry and cream daquiris! A perfect spring break stop. Thank you Lauren!

I do not understand some of the reviews for Fripp. "Nothing to do" "Only 1 restaurant open" "beach was a mess" "the roaches" "long drive to off island restaurants". Come on please.... It's a remote, quiet lovely place (except for the loud gas powered golf carts), and my first trip there occurred October 2022. Condo was clean, had everything we needed, beds comfy, and we could see the beach albeit it was a trek to get there because we stayed on the portion of the beach that has an expansive dune. It is the quintessential SC experience. We bought seafood at Gay Fish Company that you pass getting to the island for a meal. Several restaurants were open this late in the season which was surprising. Pools were still open but it was just not warm enough to enjoy them that week. I surf fished as I always do, but my area of the beach was too shallow to haul in anything to speak of except stingrays. Yes the beach was messy - grasses and worm casings everywhere, but then I guess the "beach maids" didn't make it in to work that week....... The other negative reviews on here I would guess are from people that have never been on a barrier island remote enough to not have a grocery store and other amenities that they would be used to, but then 10 minutes on Google would have told them that. Deer are everywhere, but then also are the 12 foot alligators that we ran across while golf carting at night...Do not take a stroll there at night by the way, especially around water unless in a cart and take flashlights with you. There is a firehouse, but no police, only security. The police I believe are county officers that make there way there periodically. I felt safe there as you have to go through security to gain access to the island. Beaufort is very close for shopping, history and restaurants. Overall a great experience. Likely not the place to take kids of any age as there are pools and a beach, but nothing else for them to do. Worth a trip out there. Enjoy! Oh and RENT A GOLF CART....well worth the low expense and you can access everything on the island with it.

Mike was very nice and helpful. Everyone seemed to know him, I think he was friendly with everyone. Great service and good drinks. ? The only issue I'd say is there were a lot of bees around when I went. The bees didn't bother me though. This bar was great because it was near the adult pool and had access to a nice beach.

So we rented an Oceanfront home from fripp island resort for a surprise birthday celebration for a family member. The time there was great and the island was great. The reason for the low grade had to do with fripp island resort rental and the poor customer service. For starters we got to the home 2 hours before check in but the unit was clean and open so all we did was unload luggage but a birthday cake in the freezer and left. We never even took our shoes off and while at a local restaurant we get an unacceptable 85$ charge from the resort without even a phone call to explain their reasoning. Without going into all the detail this was just the start of poor customer service attributed to Anita iand it showed how little they value customers. Next we get into the Oceanfront home which was a bit dated but beautiful views and overall comfortable. However when i walked down to the ground level and tried to go through the garage MAIN entry door i found it broken. This broken door was partially held closed with a sand bag leaning against it. The door could not be shut or locked and the sand bag was the only defense again animals or people coming in. Called for service and they came out quickly and agreed it’s a security concern but said its safe here and explained its not the rental agents issue to fix. They took pictures and left after fixing nothing. Next we decided to go to the beach from the rear of our oceanfront $900 ish per night home only to see our access steps were washed away. Both the resort rental agent and home owners were well aware because they tried to hide this issue by building a small deck with no lounge chairs or room for chairs as a good enough substitute. Both the home to left and right of us had steps in working order but we were not allowed to use them per signs and locked entrances. So here we sit oceanfront without being able to access the beach or water. Try getting yourself or 90+ year old mother to the beach by walking 1/2 mile through a golf course over a fence through the sand dune grass to sit for a few hours. BTW the rental agree doesn’t say oceanfront means beach access but have a nice stay. Bottom line is fripp island rental misrepresented the property and doesn’t value customers safety. A non lockable unit and no safe entry to the beach showed my family that fripp island resort rental is just interested in your money and NOTHING else. I have several pictures for anyone interested and all i can say is i would return but only through a rental company to include offsite VBRO like options. If you can only use fripp island on site agents. Save your money they are horrible and there are other options as far as beaches are concerned . BTW do t even ask me about the roaches you wouldn’t believe how bad they were inside and out of the house

The island itself, have not found a place like Fripp. Been coming here since 1975 and although a lot has changed since then, still other place like Fripp Island! The golf courses, the quiet beaches and the wildlife.
