Coming back up the coast from Florida to New England. I stopped in this little town and found this really great spot. They’re open late with pool tables. The bartenders Dani is super cute and very attentive. I just got the salad with chicken and everything was fresh and very tasty. Prices were right on the money. It’s actually located in the Rodeo Inn motel but tucked out in the back

I was traveling with extended family during the summer and I decided to stay at the clarion. The house keepers were nice but the breakfast was horrible and cold. The rooms are small and the prices outrageous. The house keeper Jessica was nice and did a great job.

BEWARE!!! I was traveling from out of town and stayed here one night to get just a couple hours of sleep. They charged me 67 dollars for a room, and literally the only thing I did in the room was walk in, lay on top of the blankets and sleep for a few hours. 2 days later I got a second charge on my card for 200 dollars!! After calling for a day and a half and finally getting ahold of someone they said it was because I smoked in the room. I don't smoke, I specifically requested a non smoking room for that purpose and still got charged. They told me they had pictures of cigarettes as proof. I know noone else was in my room as I was traveling alone. This is just a rip off scam they pull on out of state travelers... Disputed the charge with my bank... DO NOT STAY HERE Trip typeSolo · Business

Stopped at the Clarion Inn Santee on my way down to Florida. One of the most disgusting places I have ever stayed at. The sheets were dirty, my wife killed a spider crawling around on the bed, bathtub had a hole in it but patched, carpets were filthy and other residents were allowed to play loud music and party until 3am.

Arrived after a 13 hour drive, Fell asleep right away, I woke up with the feeling of something biting me. My stay was a total of 7.5 hours. On my drive to Miami, I had multiple bites and flees in my truck. The flees must have gotten in my over night bag (which was in my back seat), Room 147 should be fumigated, twenty times. I will call AMEX and complain since they got me set up here, Worst hotel experience of my life. I drove 31 hours straight (from Santee to Miami then to Upstate NY) with bugs in my truck that came from the room to get home, tons of bites in 31 hours. No bites or bugs in truck before I got to this Hotel, and first bite was in Bed at Hotel !!! Never had bugs before this incident !!! Highly recommend using another Hotel or Motel !!!

So I chose this place to stop on our drive south as the reviews were pretty good. However...I'm not sure if this is a new development but the pool was half empty and full of black and green growth. Looks like a Petri dish for bacteria and mosquitos. Really disturbing. The staff were excellent however and the room was large and clean and bed very comfortable.

Was in town for one night for a wedding that I was working and my bride booked me this hotel. I arrived around 8:30 pm but immediately felt unsafe. There were locks on several doors, guys hanging around outside smoking, windows broken. We got to our room and was immediately blasted with what smelled like cigarettes and prostitution. Cigarette burns in the furniture, pool looks like swamp man lives there and gum and red stains all in the carpet. I immediately left praying we could find somewhere else to stay and by the grace of god the brand new Fairfield inn had two rooms left. DO NOT EVER STAY AT THIS HOTEL. It's TRASH!

This was just a poor choice! We will not stay a a Clarion ever again. We should have left but we paid online and it was late. Was never so glad to leave a hotel.

Worst experience ever!!! After 5 hours of long drive we arrived to this hotel around 5am and I really don't know how to start describing this HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. They gave me a key (room 260) that didn't work and after going back and forth to the reception (3 times in a freezing weather) requesting new keys to try to open the door they sent someone to open the room and it was not available because is in the process of being remodeled. Then one of the ladies started looking for available rooms and when she went to inspect the room she found it not useful, towel racks were broken and hanging from the walls and A/C not working. Then I went back to the reception and wait until they looked for another room. When they finally found a room (#233) we went in but guess what??? A/C unit (water heater) was not working and restrooms very nasty and dirty. At one point I was requesting my money back and the receptionist told me she can't refund my money. They recommended me to find another hotel in the area to spend the night but they didn't want to give me my money back. After all this experience who wants to eat a free breakfast there??? Please do not stay in this hotel.....everything from A-Z is poor and I'm not joking.

Horrible experience! First when we walked in it took about 20 minutes before anyone walked to the front desk to help us check in. I should have left right then because that was very unprofessional. But due to the long drive, the darkness and the kids already tired from sitting so long we decided to wait. After April (the woman at the front desk) checked us in she called housekeeping on the phone to make sure the room was clean; well that's what she told us that the room just needed towels and by the time we go into the room it should be all set. But we decided to eat at the local Waffle House which was across the street then go in the room shower and rest. We arrived back into the hotel property our room was towards the back. And these are rooms with the doors leading directly outside this is not a hotel you enter the rooms from inside the main lobby. We get into our room number 164 we put our bags down. First thing we noticed was the horrible cigarette smell. But I was like I'll get over this since I had a bottle of febreze in the car. I sprayed the room and off first observation the room looked cleaned. When I was spraying the sheets I noticed change on the floor. There were two beds when I sprayed the bottom of the bed skirts I noticed receipts and tissue so I'm like that's pretty nasty. Then I lifted the last side of the bed skirt and there was a damn opened, looked worn CONDOM! Like seriously and they stated the room was just cleaned. I took my boys told them don't touch anything else and went straight to the front desk. I spoke with April again she offered us another room and she would personally clean it herself. But of course we were over it! And since I booked through a third party (hotels.com) I couldn't instantly get my refund. So I called hotels.com and they had to call the hotel themselves to confirm and they said every time they called the Clarion Inn someone kept hanging up on them. Horrible horrible horrible run from this hotel!
