Never a bad trip to The Beacon! Food was fresh, and the car hop was quick w the food and genuinely nice.Been goin to there for over 40 years. It is good to see folks still working there from so many years ago. The food is still amazing! Service is still Beacon service which is one of a kind!

Been going here for a long time. But moved to Florida 12 years ago. Came to visit family and just had to come to the Beacon. Get my cheeseburger a plenty all the way with chili, onions and slaw.

This place was once featured on Triple D’s so I figured it was really good. Was I wrong. Absolutely Disgusting! I ordered a Cheeseburger and Fries. Tasted like a frozen cheap meat patty and the fries are simply frozen crinkle cut from a bag and the sweet tea was the worst I have ever had. I didn’t even eat a 1/4 of the burger because I couldn’t even stand the smell. Complete waste of time and money. Disappointing for sure.

A waste of money for food and service! My burger was under a grease pit from the fries and onion rings placed on top. Sweet tea taste like lemonade. I pulled across the street and through the entire order away. Never ever again or would I recommend this place to anyone. DISGUSTING

That was my wife and I. First time going there. We were hungry. We hadn't ate a hamburger in about 6 months so somebody said go to beacon. We went to beacon and we didn't know what to get so we had some help from a person that goes there once a week. She told us to get, 1 plenty and one hamburger we got that we got some Polk skins. We got some peach cobbler and we were full. Nice place. Nice atmosphere but we missed the guy. May he rest in peace. That's the one who would call out the names of the food. We will go back in about 3 weeks

I've been going here since I was a kid, I'm in my 50s now, when I visited my grandparents and now my parents and grandmother. The place looks almost the same as when I was 9 years old, with a few updates here and there. I live in Atlanta, and I compare it to the Varsity, forgive me, Beacon, but with more food options. I always get the hot dogs and onion rings. If you add the word "a plenty" to your order, you get onion rings and fries. It is a lot of food....and for me a time capsule to when life was simpler.
