Can’t miss the lunch specials on oysters and drinks

Thank you Steven & Hannah for incredible service. Great recommendations with food as far as the sashimi rolls go as well as getting a mix of raw & grilled oysters just be aware to order not over the salt display. This place is incredible though & has some great happy hour specials.

I loved the atmosphere of this place! Very coastal feel to it. The food was good. We were there at lunch and most had poke bowls. While they were delicious they were also very small. Our server, Crystal, was amazing. She was so fun and helped us get dessert for our birthday girl! Definitely will go back.

Food was very good if a bit pricy. Parking was a problem and we were lucky it was not a summer day. Interesting location and easy to get to from Charleston.

The tomato pie here is my favorite thing I’ve had since moving to South Carolina. It’s SO cute, and the staff has always made me feel comfortable and is always friendly.

My boyfriend and I made reservations here for my birthday dinner. We unknowingly booked it during Sullivan Islands St. Patrick's Day block party. Finding parking was nightmare and navigating the crowds was worse, but this was NOT the fault of the restaurant at all. We were seated right away but there was a little overflow of partiers inside the restaurant being very loud, yelling and shouting, doing shots, and it killed the ambience. The waitstaff should not have to apologize to guests for the poor behavior or other patrons. Management should have stepped in, but that's just my opinion. We ordered the baked oysters which had a hint of green dye in them for St. Patrick's Day. They were very good! My boyfriend got the ribeye and I got the swordfish. I loved the swordfish! It was cooked perfectly and had a nice layer of grilled zucchini underneath. The food made the trip worth it. My only negative was that the bathrooms were incredibly dirty, again probably from the drunken crowd outside. Two girls were trying to clean it up but it was pretty bad. I want to give this place another shot but will probably wait until the fall when the summer crowds thin out.

Will start by saying, we are local and frequent here monthly and have for years, which is why it pains me to write this review. However, my visit tonight was incredibly disappointing. We sat at the bar, ordered two cocktails, 2 wines, apps and 2 mains. To start we had 6 oysters, which were basically shreds of seafood in a shell and full of sediment. These were not oysters. The salmon crudo which is usually a favorite was so tiny, overdressed and inedible. It was equivalent to eating a lemon with a little fish mixed in. When we told the server her reply was “I would be happy to take it away”.We ordered the swordfish and saffron rice for mains - recommendations from the server. The blackened swordfish was so burnt, it was also not edible. It was absolutely burned to a crisp, small and so lacking flavor that I was compelled to tell the server again as we did not eat it. Her reply “I don’t usually work mondays so I’m not sure who’s cooking”. Her follow up was “would you like more drinks?”For the price point, this experience was highly unsatisfying, and I'm sharing this feedback as a local hoping for improvement. But sadly, it might be a while before I return.

Came here for Sunday brunch with a couple of girl friends. No complaints! Awesome atmosphere and delicious food. Also, loved that they had a few great mocktail options for those of us who may have had too much fun on Saturday night. Our waitress was great and gave really honest recommendations of her favorite dishes and least favorite dishes (we loveeeee a helpful waitress!). Two of us got the grilled avocado bowl and it was light, yet filling and well balanced. Obviously the photo is enough proof that the waffle was worth a try too. Next time you’re on Sullivans, stop in here!

Adorable little restaurant where everyone was extremely sweet. Our server Liz was so patient and gave a great recommendation. The bartender Crystal had us try a new drink she was trying out and it was fabulous and so refreshing. Food was very good too… grilled avocado was new for me and surprisingly good.

Great experience. Whenever I go somewhere I take a peek at the menu before I go so I know what interests me. Before deciding though on food or drink I ask whats popular & what they like personally. Well a few things matched up with what I was looking at. Truly enjoyed the cocktails Mi Boy Lilikoi and Heart & Sol which was delicious as is but decided to add a mezcal floater if you like that smokey taste I highly recommend. I then tried the Duck Confit Flatbread & was very pleased. I look forward to coming back to try additional items. Thank you to Krystal & Sydney for excellent service & suggestions.

Great food, bar area is big, nice aesthetic. Great for brunch or a quick meetup with friends.

Great ambiance. Really impressed with the interior, for an older established building. It was our first visit to this Resturant from out of state. Good was very attractively presented and tasted great! I loved trying "new" dishes - to us. Service was slow and not very personable/friendly but also young and we dined on a rainy Saturday brunch in March. There was a larger group (8) in our area which may have affected service.

The Longboard is a new-ish place on Sullivan's Island. I lived on an adjacent island a few years ago, and I certainly had my favorites here, but after eating at The Longboard today for the first time that has changed. First, the ambiance is light and airy, not dark like Poe's and Home Team. Second, the food here is AMAZING! From 11-5 weekdays you can get a dozen raw or grilled oysters for $24! That's an amazing value! I ordered the grilled oysters and they were out of this world, prepared with Parmesan, panko, and chives. And the house hot sauce is the perfect complement to the oysters. After the oysters I chose the burger, which is an 8oz beef short rib and pork belly patty! It's so delicious! Lastly, the service is totally on point. Steve was my bartender, and he was so friendly and crazy knowledgeable on everything on the menu. He answered all of my questions immediately and suggested many options, making my food and beverage selections a snap. This place could easily hold its own if it was in downtown Charleston, but I'm so happy it's not. Sullivan's Island is so much more laid back and away from tourists. OH! This place has an amazing rum selection! You won't regret coming here. I travel for a living and enjoy hunting the best places to eat and drink globally. This place does not disappoint. Enjoy!!!
