Let me start by saying that I have never written a bad review about any restaurant--or any business for that matter--in my life. I even waited a while to post this one.We have been loyal customers since this establishment became Hometown Pizza. The pizza has been consistently good & we always order the boneless wings. On our last visit, when we got the food home we noticed the wings were completely different than anything we had received previously. They were of poorer quality and about half the size that they normally are, if that. We were so disappointed that we called to inquire about the situation, thinking perhaps it was a temporary substitution or a mistake. We were met with the rudest costumer service we had ever experienced. The man on the phone--who claimed to be the GM--was unbelievably hostile & aggressive from the second he realized we were unhappy with our order, immediately telling us if we didn't like it not to order from there anymore. He then proceeded to hang up on us...twice...as we calmly tried to explain that we were only calling to find out if this is what we should expect if we order wings in the future.Needless to say, they have lost our business, which is a shame because, while we enjoyed their wings, they aren't the only pizza game in town and most restaurants are going out of their way to keep their customers and welcome new ones right now.

Our pizza was awesome. We got 3 different smalls to try them out and all were delicious. We love trying different pizza places and this one will be a top go to for sure!

I placed a large order for delivery this evening, 30 minutes later checked the website and my order had been canceled, what?? I didn't cancel it. I called and was informed that they didn't have a delivery driver so the "CHOWNOW" app " kicked it back". No one bothered to inform me. Went ahead and placed the order for pick up, big mistake- terrible pizza. No offer for discount for the trouble just continued excuses about the CHOWNOW app.

I must specify that this review is based on our last visit which was a month or two ago now.We ordered over the phone and arrived at the restaurant nearly 20 minutes later. Our pizza was still not done. We waited in the car as none of the employees were wearing masks.20 minutes later our pizza was still not done. The restaurant claimed they had a large order ahead of ours. We noticed two gentlemen that ordered several pizzas and had to keep coming back in because their order was incorrect. The pizza we finally did receive wasn’t even what we ordered.This also wasn’t our first time being disappointed by this place. Needless to say we won’t be back.

This was the first time we tried this place. Our pizza was not good. The sauce tasted like tomato soup (very sweet). Our crust was not crisp. The toppings were fine but we would not go back. Not worth the money ($20) for a medium pizza.

This pizzeria was my favorite, the last two times I was there it was horrible. Out of beer, out of several items on menu. And they burnt the pizza. Will not be back for a third let down.

Used to think it was good. Until my experience today. Made an online order And paid through their website. Went to pick it up to find out they decided to close for that day. The way the gentleman spoke to me about how I should have known they were closed because he has it posted on all his social media and the door should have let me know he’s not filling orders today and I need to call uber, DoorDash, or whoever I placed the order though to get a refund. The skunky odor coming from the place probably is the reason why he didn’t understand I placed the order through THEM. Told me I’d be refunded in 3-5 days but I don’t have any faith he’ll remember. Kind of like he didn’t remember to lock the door to place if they were closed. He handled it very poorly telling me it’s my fault. Not apologetic whatsoever and very argumentative grabbing his tablet from across the bar and shaking it showing me it’s off and not receiving orders. According to him he didn’t want to waste his time figuring it out because he had too big of an order to fill which is the original reason they decided to close. I left letting him know he’ll have plenty of time to fill orders because we won’t be back. There’s plenty of other pizza ‘joints’ around that will gladly accept my business and treat me a lot better.

Ordered online over an hour ago, Noone has come, call about our $60 order.... I've called the store about 10 times and Noone answers.... This place is new and with that kind of customer service I doubt it'll stay open.... I should have ordered from where I always do.... My husband had to drive to the store even though we ordered for delivery.... But since NOONE picks up the phone.... I will NEVER order from here again and neither will my family and friends....soooo husband gets to the place and it's CLOSED??? it says OPEN on their schedule... Paid online not one sign that this place was CLOSED ... I mean good luck keeping your business.... This is the WORST experience
This was by far the worst pizza I have had in my life. $55 for 2 burnt pizzas and some cold mozzarella sticks. If you have a good pizzeria stick with it and don’t waste your money trying this place. Lesson learned.

I paid $30.00 for a meat lover's pizza that had pepperoni and a few pieces of ham . When I emailed them , they told me they were generous with there toppings. Biggest waste of my money and very poor customer service

Great, thin crispy crust pizza, heard negative things about hometown pizza, but they were all wrong. I traveled from north Charleston to give them a try today, & their did not disappoint.
