Ordered in once. So expensive and not worth it.

Incredibly rude and disrespectful service. I can see why they had to "temporarily" close. Wouldn't consider returning. Would give zero stars bc that is deserved. Awful place.

It's ok for a last minute quick bite. The quality of food is not something that will make you drive 20 min to come back too. The staff are friendly

This was my go-to sushi restaurant in Summerville before it had a fire. As far as I can tell, it has not reopened. ?When open, the signature rolls were very good as well as the pork gyoza.

This restaurant has never failed. Normally I don't like the veggies at any hibachi place BUT at MadFish is the ONLY place I eat the veggies. The customer service is great as well. My husband is a huge fan of their sushi as well.

The best steak hibachi, teriyaki sauce, yumyum sauce, and the rice is delicious. The sushi is amazing also.Hopefully they re-open soon...

Always get delivery from this place. Love it. We get the medium catering order for sushi and it’s always fresh and delicious! FYI, a fire happened in their kitchen on Oct 18, 2022, so that’s why they’re temporarily closed. Give them a try when they’re able to reopen!!

Placed an order online through their online ordering system (Toast). Never received our order, but received a notice that the online order was not approved please call the restaurant. We tried multiple times to call the restaurant, call would not go through. Drove to the restaurant location the following day only to find the restaurant no longer in business. We have been charged for this order and need to be refunded $55.80. Need someone from this Toast app to contact us immediately.

I would actually rate this restaurant at 5 stars, but leaving 1 to get the owners attention. I will update my rating once issue has been resolved. I just used your online ordering system and paid for my order. The order was for $16.37. I ordered the pick two sushi rolls and left a tip around 5:45pm this evening. I arrived at your location to find the door boarded up, glass inside on the floor and the door locked. Lights were off and appeared no one was inside. I attempted to call and leave a message but your phone line has been temporarily disconnected. Your online ordering still shows you are open today, so hopefully no one else made this same mistake. I am sorry to see you have some damages to your shop. That is truly unfortunate as you have great food and I always receive good service. Would someone please follow up with my review so we can connect and I can get a refund for my purchase? Thanks in advance for your efforts and hoping you can reopen soon.

They made it very clear they didn't want us there once we walked through the door. Tried asking if they were open, because we saw no one inside...and the employees wouldn't say anything straight out. So we walked right back out. Don't recommend.

Highly recommend! The food is affordable and down right delicious! The menu offers a wide variety. It's something for every palate.

was looking over the menu and a woman walked out the restroom, went behind the counter, straight over to the long table of food laid out all the way to the wall, and proceed to place covers over the food set up....why did I say all of this youask??BECAUSE SHE AINT WASH HER EFFIN' HANDS!!!!!! I have been a manager for I've r20ywars an I am appalled that she was very close to the hand washing station to her left right beside the table. And let me tell you something, she could have scrub up like a doctor before surgery BEFORE COMING OUT OF RESTROOM,BUT she STILL HAD YO TOUCH THAT HANDLE TO COME OUT AND SHE DIDNT HAVE A TOWEL IN HER HAND WHEN SHE CROSSED BEHIND THAT COUNTER. I AM DISGUSTED.

Ah... the lowcountry of SC, where fresh seafood is in abundance. This means sushi should be some of the best one can attain anywhere. That leads me to Madfish Sushi in Summerville. The goddy sign out front screams good food and I was ready to indulge! The interior is nice enough and I think I'm one of the ones that would love seeing more customers out and about again. While it's somewhat hypocritical of me in this review to complain about eating out, normally I do. Come on America, support your local restaurants! Also, kids, get out there and start working jobs again so restaurants can justify having an open restaurant! Ok rant over. The tables are black and fairly new while the walls are minimalistic in nature. I print here or there, drab tan paints and with a brick façade to break up the wall space. I did like the huge Japanese mural in the cooking area. I'm not a fan of Japanese art but this really pops. Also note there are the Japanese white wall or door fixtures around which add to the ambiance. Now lets address the star of the show, the food. I got my mom the hibachi shrimp and the flavors were ok, nothing to scream about. The shrimp count seemed on point but a lot of zucchini. If you're an outside to F&B veggies such as squash are used a lot b/c they're cheap. This made the majority of the meal so a small disappointment. Next I ordered tempura shrimp. Well, they didn't understand and gave me tempura shrimp rolls. Not what I asked for and the rolls themselves were bland and boring. So I wasn't a happy camper. Next I ordered three rolls b/c buy 2 get one free. The Rainbow roll was decent enough but the veggies were a little large in the California roll (the rainbow is on top). The fish was ok but not the best roll I've ever had. The next roll was the Angry Dragon roll. The shrimp tempura was cooked perfectly but I didn't see any spicy tuna in there? Perhaps I got the wrong roll? Finally it was topped with krab (remember this is actually white fish pressed into a mold). Generally the salad has mayo, but the krab was shredded and plain. To me this is lazy and boring. The last roll was the Volcano roll. The heat was perfect as it wasn't overbearing. I liked the cream cheese in this as it cooled off the heat and the deep fry made it a crunchy delight. Overall this was the best roll. In summary, I'd say Mad Fish is a decent enough place to get a meal. It's not where I'd go for a memorable sushi experience and my itch for good sushi isn't completely gone but it will do for now. The hibachi was serviceable and great yum yum sauce but nothing to write home about.

Rice and veggies were decent. The steak and chicken were terrible, both tasted old. Especially the chicken , it was very soft and a purple ish color on the inside.
