The owner Mamu is a true gem of a human being. Her vibe is authentic, and so is the food. Enjoy your experience, because this kind of value is hard to find and deserves complete recognition for its brilliance. Forget downtown Charleston. If you're in the area, this is where you want to enjoy a meal. This space is a blessing to the community. Very impressed by her staff, management, and development of her crew. Nothing but brilliance here.
What can I say, Moma knows best. Out of this world service. Just a Core Memory for my wife and I. The entire staff truly raised the bar and my the entire experience wildly enjoyable. Run by a family and that is exactly the vibe you get with the food, service, and atmosphere. You are just part of the family. Can't wait to go back!!

Great place for a date night great service and the food was really good. Try the sake sangria..your welcome. Server Jenn was very attentive and helpful and the overall experience was awesome even though the a/c was messed up but that didn't bother us. Keep up the good

My mother in law took us to eat here tonight and I highly recommend. The service was absolutely wonderful and the food was to die for delicious. The owner even came out to speak a few times and was very pleasant. They do recommend reservations but the wait time wasn't too terribly long without one. Cannot recommend this place enough and will definitely be back, especially when I'm not pregnant so I can try some of their sakes and sangrias.
My family came a while ago to celebrate a birthday. It was our first time here and we were excited to try it. My personal favorite was the Japanese A5 Wagyu which was soooo good. Some of the best yakitori I’ve ever had! Plus really nice staff especially the owner! Would definitely recommend!Dietary restrictions: Nut and shellfish accommodations
Always the BEST! Food is beyond amazing, staff is always so friendly and attentive Mamu and Jun are the most honest loving people that I have ever met, so humble and caring. Justin in the kitchen is a master. Couldn't recommend this place enough. If you are even thinking about it GO! DONT WAIT, just go! Tell Myles that Tom sent you.

My family of 4 was turned around after waiting 30 minutes outside for this restaurant to open. My family consist of myself, my husband, our two year old toddler, and newborn baby. Before we went inside I sent my husband to ask if they could accommodate us and our two children and their response was yes. After waiting another 15-20 mins inside we were told that they did not have a table big enough to seat our family although a party of about 8 people were just seated together. The waitress “apologized” for only having a table big enough for two people and wanting to seat us at the bar because my toddler may fall. She then stated that we could come back later tonight for a reservation (knowing I have small children) or we could order take out. SN: The restaurant was not to capacity as it just opened at 4pm. It was pretty obvious from the moment we walked in that they did not want to service my African American family. It is unfortunate because my husband and I have been wanting to try this place for a few months but we will never return and spend a dollar of our hard earned money with them.

Looking for something different not typical of low country cusine , this is a place to try. Bit of a different take on Japanese food. No sushi, no fried rice but they offer some interesting udon , teriyaki and grilled options. Casual setting, very attentive service and very reasonable prices. Certainly worth a try and 5
