The new owners Tony & Meri are such nice people and the food is elevated from the previous owners. New menu items and fully remodeled bar which is beautiful. The Q is always good & Tony's upgraded white slaw is excellent, they're always adding new menu items. Waygu burger is very tasty. Do yourself a favor and have a pear martini, it's delicious. I hope they have lots of success, always try to support local places and especially new business owners.

I always look for different BBQ places when I'm in NC/SC area. I purchased a chopped BBQ sandwich, it was just chopped meat , no seasoning with bbq sauce. I'm definitely not a fan of unseasoned meat. The service was fast, the place was empty at the time.

I loved the barbecue sandwich and the hush puppies with honey butter. Our waitress was super nice. My husband really liked the ribs and fried okra. I also liked the aesthetics of the place, like the tile at the bar, and the plate my food came on was really unique. Convenient location as well.
Overpriced for just average food. I've never gotten anything that was terrible but never had a meal that made me want to go back and every time I've been I've thought how overpriced the food was. Bummer.

We’ve been eating at 521 BBQ for years and their food used to be so good. Their pulled pork used to be my favorite in the Charlotte area, but now it’s fatty and greasy. The ribs are very fatty as well. I believe the ownership changed recently and it’s definitely not the same. The hush puppies were a little dry and one actually had a hair baked into it. Didn’t eat any more after that. Probably will not return.
